I had absolutely no idea that Boabhan Sith means Fairy Woman - that really made me laugh! Doesn't really fit the character does it?! Have you read the rest of the series? I must get around to continuing with it & I hope the rest of the books are as funny as this one was :o)Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07491718306784046961noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3816222359708972661.post-408370824950273732011-08-24T19:11:10.151+01:002011-08-24T19:11:10.151+01:00First--have to say I got this book at a time when ...First--have to say I got this book at a time when i really needed it. It was hilarious. I love Jane's voice, and I adore anything that plays with mythology.

That said, I'll be that girl. Ryu was no kind of any kind of some kind of vamp. He was a cool concept--feeding off emotion. But that isn't vampy. You can play with the myths--some twisting and turning--but totally changing and keeping the name is just lame. And Boabhan Sith means Fairy Woman and they kill people. Plus, he was just annoying. I get it he's as sexy as hell. Can we make it a paragraph without it being mentioned?

In short, I'm rooting for the dog.

I also, even given the curses of first books in a series, thought the end--after they left Main--really fell flat. The different supes were not really described or fleshed out. And I really wanted to see Jane have at least a hand in saving herself.Bets Davieshttp://betsdavies.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3816222359708972661.post-50912853853265739182011-03-15T00:56:16.185+00:002011-03-15T00:56:16.185+00:00@ Vivienne - This whole series has such wonderful ...@ Vivienne - This whole series has such wonderful covers, I'm looking forward to seeing them all on my shelves!
