Who is your favourite Dirty Talking Hero? Visit Under the Covers to vote for your favourite book boyfriends in their Burning Up July event!

The fabulous Under the Covers Book Blog is currently celebrating summer by hosting BURNING UP JULY where they're showcasing some of their favourite book boyfriends and asking readers to vote for their favourites in several different categories.

They asked lots of different bloggers to take part so in case you missed it yesterday I thought I'd write a quick post directing you to my guest appearance where I was raving about one of my favourite dirty talking heroes Matt from Staking His Claim by Tessa Bailey.

Tessa always writes such fabulous heroes and they are some of the best dirty talkers I've come across but Matt is my absolute favourite of her characters and he is one super hot dominant alpha both in and out of the bedroom!

Have a look at my fantasy casting for Matt and see if it encourages you to head on over to Under the Covers and find out a little more about him!

My Fantasy Casting for Matt
(Sorry but I don't know who this model is, if anyone can help me out with that please
leave a comment because I'd love to be able to google more pics of him LOL)

The Under the Covers team will be posting about a few more of their favourite heroes for the Best Dirty Talker category over the next couple of days so make sure you keep checking back to meet Matt's competition! Once all of the heroes have been posted they'll be opening up a giveaway where you'll be all given the chance to vote for your favourite.

Two other categories are already complete and the giveaways are already open and waiting for your votes so don't miss out on your chance to win prizes.

Ultimate Dom Nominees:
Alexander Devries from Edge of the Enforcer by Cherise Sinclair
Ronin Black from The Mastered Series by Lorelei James
Soren from The Original Sinners Series by Tiffany Reisz

Soren is getting my vote in this category!

Ultimate Book Boyfriend Nominees:
Sevastyan from The Professional by Kresley Cole
Dex Foray from The Experiment in Terror Series by Karina Hale
Landon Lucas Maxfield from Breakable by Tammara Webber

I haven't had a chance to read Breakable yet but I LOVED Lucas in Easy so he definitely gets my vote (even though I'm rather partial to Sevastyan too LOL).

Best Dirty Talker Nominees:
Matt Donovan from Staking His Claim by Tessa Bailey
Other nominees to be added over the next couple of days

Of course Matt will be getting my vote in this category - I am his champion after all!

Do you want to take a virtual tour of my bookshelves?

I have been promising Kirsty (from The Overflowing Library) a guest post about my book shelves for her Bookcase Showcase feature for months now so it really was about time I got around to writing it. The post went live on Kirsty's blog last weekend but I forgot to post about it here so I thought I'd give you a quick reminder now in case you missed it.

If you'd like to go on a virtual tour of my bookshelves check out my Bookcase Showcase post on The Overflowing Library. You can see first hand how I organise my shelves and just how out of control my to read pile has become!!

Today I'm making a guest appearance on Floor To Ceiling Books

Amanda from Floor to Ceiling Books wrote a fabulous guest post for me for when I was on holiday talking about her top recommendations for Fantasy & Science Fiction novels releasing this autumn (if you missed it when I was away make sure you check it out now as she had some fab suggestions for us to add to our wish lists!).

So now that Amanda is on her holidays in Florida making the most of the sunshine and the theme parks (I'm not the slightest bit jealous honest, well not much anyway lol) it was only fair for me to return the favour.  So if you'd like to know the top 5 YA books that I'm most looking forward to reading over the next few months head over to Floor to Ceiling Books now & check out my post :o)  I'd love to know if you're excited about the same books as me and if you have any suggestions for books that should be jumping to the top of my to read pile!

Today I'm Guest Reviewing The Scorpio Races at Book Chick City

Today you'll find me over at Book Chick City where I'm guest reviewing The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater.  Thanks so much to Carolyn for inviting me to visit again and for sending me the book to read!

Stay alive, stay astride, stay out of the water...

Every November, the Scorpio Races are run beneath the chalk cliffs of Skarmouth.  Thousands gather to watch the horses and the sea that washes the blood from the sand.  The mounts are savage water horses.  There are no horses more beautiful, more fearless, more deadly.  To race them can be suicide but the danger is irresistible.

Sean and Puck both enter the Races hoping to change their lives.  But first they'll have to survive.

As a big fan of Maggie's Wolves of Mercy Falls series I was really looking forward to reading The Scorpio Races.  Although the story was totally different and nothing like what I expected I ended up really enjoying it.  I still think that Shiver is my favourite of Maggie's novels but The Scorpio Races was like nothing I've read before and I really liked the idea behind it.

I'm not going to say anymore here so you'll have to head over to Book Chick City if you want to read my full review :o)

Today I'm Guest Reviewing Divergent at Book Chick City

Today my first ever guest review has been posted over at Book Chick City.  I was very excited when Carolyn asked me if I'd like to take part in her Women of Science Fiction Week and had the perfect book already sitting in my to read pile - Divergent by Veronica Roth.

One choice decides your friends, defines your beliefs and determines your loyalties . . . forever.

When sixteen-year-old Tris makes her choice, she cannot foresee how drastically her life will change.  Or that the perfect society in which she lives is about to unfold into a dystopian world of electrifying decisions, stunning consequences, heartbreaking betrayals and unexpected romance.

One choice can transform you.

All I'm going to tell you here is that I absolutely LOVED this book!  It was one of my favourite reads of 2011 so far and one I would highly recommend.

If you'd like to read my review please head over to Book Chick City where you can find it here.
