Review:
The Christmas Truce is a short story set about three years before The Siren at a point when Nora and Kingsley are fighting with Soren and have pretty much cut him out of their lives. They both still love him though and Christmas gives them the perfect excuse to call a one night truce between them. As a huge fan of the Original Sinners series I love that Tiffany Reisz still gives fans little snapshots of her character's lives in her free short stories every Christmas.
This one was brilliant, I love these three together and there are some really heartfelt and emotional scenes between them. Of course this being an Original Sinners story means it's also incredibly hot and it just wouldn't be the same if the three of them hadn't ended up in Soren's bed! This may be a quick read but it packs a punch and it left me contemplating a reread of the series.

Review: Something Nice - Tiffany Reisz
It's July, a couple months after Nora returns to Søren at the end of THE SIREN, and while in bed, Søren makes a trade with Nora. He'll do something nice for her and she'll do something nice for him. Of course Nora picks something sexual. But Søren surprises her with his "something nice" request. Read the excerpt below to find out what it is.

Review:
I completely adore the Original Sinners series although I have to confess I've been putting off reading the last couple of books for a long time now because I just don't want the story to be over. I couldn't resist reading Something Nice though. This is a free novella (you'll get a copy by signing up for Tiffany Reisz's website) and it's set just after the end of The Siren when Nora has returned to Soren after a long absence.
Nora is struggling to fit back into her old life, she feels out of place in Soren's world and she's a little lost so Soren does a deal with her, she can have anything she wants from him and in return she has to do something nice for him too. Of course Nora's part of the bargain involves orgasms but she's confused when Soren's request is for her to attend the next church picnic. What follows is a really fun event that helps Nora remember why she always loved attending Soren's church. He gives her a way to reconnect with the parishioners who used to be her friends and helps her to realise that she's made the right decision coming back to him.
I enjoyed every minute of this novella and it just reminded me of how much I love the series. I think it's about time I finally got around to reading the last two books and I'm excited to see how things end for Nora, Soren and all my other favourite characters.

Review:
It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Tiffany Reisz and her Original Sinners series. I have been completely addicted to these books ever since I read The Siren and I'm incredibly invested in this world and it's characters. It'll probably come as a bit of a surprise to hear me say that I put off reading The King for a long time after I received a review copy but there was one particular event at the end of The Saint that absolutely devastated me. I desperately wanted to pretend that it hadn't happened and as much as I was hoping it would be proved incorrect in this book I had a horrible feeling that it wouldn't and I was scared to get that confirmation. It's so hard because I can't really go into detail because it's effectively a major spoiler but I was gutted by the way this thing turned out. It means we're going to be stuck with regular interaction with a couple of characters who I'm really not a fan of and in my mind it changes everything about the relationship between Nora and one of the men in her life. It's actually a testament to how fantastic Tiffany Reisz's writing is and how real these characters have become to me that I can feel quite so hurt by their actions!
Anyway, I put off starting The King because of the above and the opening chapter made me really nervous. It focuses on Kingsley having a conversation with one of the characters I don't really like and I thought for a minute they were going to end up the main focus of the book so I almost didn't want to carry on reading. Luckily I was quickly proved wrong and from the second that Kingsley starts talking about his very complicated history with Soren and Nora I was completely hooked. This book put me through an emotional wringer but apart from the very first and last chapters I absolutely loved every minute of it.
Kingsley has fascinated me since we first met him so I absolutely loved getting inside his head and seeing how he came to create the Eighth Circle was brilliant. I love seeing him and Soren together, they have such a rich and complicated history and it's one that has shaped both of them into the people they are now. I also enjoyed seeing Kingsley's early interactions with Nora and watching their friendship develop. A lot of the events in this book are things we've seen before but seeing them through Kingsley's eyes gives us a completely different insight into them. Tiffany Reisz is a master at manipulating her readers and giving us the truth in lots of small bite sized pieces so that everything only starts to come together to form the big picture when you've seen all sides of the story and I love that about her. This series is complex and utterly compelling with rich, three dimensional characters that I have very strong opinions about.
As much as a certain part of the storyline made me want to scream and throw my kindle across the room (I'm very lucky I didn't break it!) I still absolutely loved The King and think it's now my new favourite book in the series. The Original Sinners series is absolutely wonderful and I don't think I'll ever be able to get enough of it so I really hope Tiffany Reisz keeps it going for a long time to come.

Review: The Last Good Knight - Tiffany Reisz
The Last Good Knight is an Original Sinners novella starring Mistress Nora, released in five parts.
Part 1 - SCARS AND STRIPES:
It's lust at first sight when Mistress Nora encounters a sexy newcomer to The 8th Circle. She's happy for the distraction, since she left her lover, Søren, but her session with Lance is cut short when her boss, Kingsley Edge, reveals they're all in danger...
Part 2 - SORE SPOTS:
With a potential stalker on the loose, Kingsley hires Lance as Nora's bodyguard, but stipulates no sex while he's on duty. Frustrated by the ex-SEAL's noble chivalry, Nora is driven to seek release with the one man she's trying to forget...
Part 3 - THE GAMES DESTINY PLAYS:
Shocked to see Nora's bruises, Lance is furious that she put herself in danger and demands to know where she got them. As Nora confesses her true nature, she's equally shocked to learn that Lance has some secrets of his own, drawing them together despite Kingsley's orders...
Part 4 - FIT TO BE TIED:
With her feelings for Lance warring with her recent encounter with Søren, Nora returns to Lance's bed and finds herself toying with the idea of…toying with him on a permanent basis. But after she gets a glimpse into his personal angst, Nora realizes she has the power to rescue this white knight...
Part 5 - THE LAST GOOD NIGHT:
Now that the perpetrator has been apprehended, Nora sadly acknowledges she doesn't need a bodyguard anymore. She adores Lance and wants to keep him but is faced with a dilemma—if she uses her connections to help Lance, she'll have to give him up forever...

Review:
The Last Good Knight is a serialised novella in Tiffany Reisz's Original Sinners series, it fits into the time line before The Siren but I wouldn't recommend reading any of the prequel novellas until you've read at least the first main book in the series so that you'll be familiar with the characters and their relationships with each other. This novella was published in five instalments (see list below) but I have chosen to review the story as a whole so I'm going to keep my discussions about the plot fairly vague and focus more on how I felt about it.
I have been a huge fan of this series from the get go, Tiffany Reisz has managed to pull me into her world so completely that I feel like she's actually writing from personal experience and that all of these characters really do exist out there somewhere. I can't think of any other series where all of the characters feel so real to me, even the ones we don't get to spend a lot of time with like the newbie in this story Lance.
I have to tell you how much I adored Lance, he was such a wonderful, sweet and caring guy and I really wanted him to find happiness more than anything. I was so angry with life for screwing him over the way it had and it was actually painful to see what he had to give up in order to get the one thing he'd been fighting for for such a long time. I know that sounds vague but like I said, I really don't want to give you spoilers and I'm sure once you've read the story you'll understand exactly what I mean. The chemistry he had with Nora was absolutely wonderful and I really did feel that they could have been perfect together so it was hard to see the world trying to pull them in different directions.
As with any story by this author The Last Good Knight is incredibly hot, and will definitely leave you fanning yourself. Tiffany Reisz never fails to turn up the heat and Nora doesn't like to be kept waiting so you know you're in for a treat when she's in full on Domme mode. Her relationship with Lance isn't just about sex though, there is so much more to it than that and they have a strong emotional connection too. The story also has plenty of drama, action and mystery as well as giving us glimpses of both Soren and Kingsley which always makes me happy. As much as I would have loved a full length novel staring Lance (and I kind of hope we'll get to see more of him in the future!) I still enjoyed every minute of this novella and it's helped tide me over until the release of the next full length novel. I don't think I'll ever get enough of this series so I hope we've got many more stories to come!

2. Sore Spots
3. The Games Destiny Plays

Review:
I may be a little obsessed with Tiffany Reisz and her Original Sinners, I really can't get enough of this world and the characters she has created. These books are just so addictive and they are always impossible to put down once I've started them. I've loved Nora from the beginning but have had more complicated feelings towards many of the other characters. Soren's sadism terrifies me but he is one of the most brilliant characters I've ever read about, no matter how wary I was of him in the beginning I had grown to love him throughout the previous books but in The Saint I finally understood exactly why Nora is so completely and utterly devoted to him.
Although we've learnt a lot about both Nora's and Soren's pasts in the previous books here we finally get to see the whole tale from the very beginning. The majority of this book is told in flashbacks and we get to see Soren through the eyes of 15 year old Eleanor. In the past I've found it kind of creepy that a 29 year old priest took such an interest in one of his young parishioners but seeing events unfold first hand shows that it really wasn't like that. In fact the relationship between Eleanor and Soren is something special and pure, something that she desperately needed at a time when she had no other person in her life who was there for her no matter what. In the beginning Soren is more of a father figure to her, someone who shows her the right path and steers her away from danger. Yes, the attraction is always there but Eleanor is well beyond her years emotionally and although she constantly pushes Soren for more he always keeps a sensible distance.
The flashbacks cover much of Nora's life between the ages of 15 and about 20 so we get to see not only her introduction to Soren but also the beginning of her friendship with Kingsley and I absolutely loved their interactions. There is so much more going on between the two of them than I ever realised before and it was great to see how much Kingsley helped her when she really needed him and Soren wasn't available. These three characters belong together in a way I can't even begin to describe, no matter what else happens or who else comes on the scene I'm convinced that the three of them will never, ever be far apart.
The Saint isn't just about the past though, it also picks up Nora's story about 6 months on from the end of The Mistress. I'm not going to tell you much about that part of the book because seeing what she was up to came as a complete surprise to me and I don't want to take that experience away from anyone. All I'm going to say is that we get to see much more of a character who has only been mentioned briefly in previous novels and I can't wait to see more of them in future books! I have a feeling they're going to be a very entertaining addition to the story and add plenty of additional spice.
I think it's fair to say that The Saint is my new favourite Tiffany Reisz book, I went through so many different emotions while reading it and I can't possibly hope to do this story justice in my review so I'll just say that fans of the series are going to LOVE this book. If you haven't started this series yet then I can't recommend it highly enough, it isn't a traditional romance but I guarantee you'll fall as madly in love with these characters as I have. These books are dark, they offer glimpses into a world that most of us would probably be too scared to step foot in but they are completely and utterly compelling and are always beautifully written.

Review:
After the shock ending of The Prince I'm so relieved that The Mistress was already available and I didn't have to wait before reading it. This story picks things up immediately after the previous one left off, Nora has been kidnapped by someone from Soren and Kingsley's past, someone who has a grudge against them both and who is determined to make them pay for their previous sins. The Prince is told from multiple points of view - Nora, Kingsley, Wesley, Grace and Laila (Soren's niece) - so you get to see the wider picture of events both in the present and in the past.
I actually really enjoyed getting to know Laila, it was interesting to see Soren & Nora through her eyes because she has grown up knowing all about their relationship. The only time Soren and Nora have ever been able to act like a normal couple is when they were visiting Soren's family in Denmark and I really enjoyed seeing them spending time together away from the Underground. I do think that in some ways Laila's character was a convenient way of resolving a certain issue with one of the other characters but overall because I liked the outcome of that it didn't bother me too much.
If I'm honest I'm not really sure why we needed Grace's point of view. I never really liked Zach all that much so didn't particularly care about Grace or feel that she had much to add to the situation Nora was in. She does the job of showing Soren in a different light but I really struggled to understand her motivations for certain things and I was left unsure about her relationship with Zach. As much as I didn't feel her point of view was needed I didn't mind reading the chapters about her, it wasn't until the horrible twist at the end of the book that I really resented her presence in the story. I really, REALLY hope that the implications at the end of the book are false - if it turns out to be true then I'm going to feel really betrayed and hurt on Nora's behalf and it's something that has been irritating me more and more the longer I think about it. Unfortunately I think I'm going to have to wait a long time to have my answers because the next few books (The White Years Quartet) are a prequel to the ones we've already had (The Red Years Quartet).
The sections I enjoyed the most were definitely Nora and Kingsley's. They both have such a long history, both together and with Soren, and I'm always fascinated to learn more about them. There is something so incredibly compelling about all three characters that although I don't always agree with their choices or even understand the things they do I can never resist learning more about them. Kingsley in particular is in a very difficult situation here, he is dealing with his mixed up feelings for Nora (does he love her because of what she has meant to him in the past or hate her because of the way Soren feels about her?) he is also facing someone from his own past who he never expected to see again and at the same time he's watching Soren fall apart because Nora is in danger. Kingsley is the one who has to try and keep a level head and make sure Soren doesn't risk everything to save the woman he loves. Unfortunately Kingsley also knows that he may be forced to do something that he will never, ever be able to recover from.
Soren has always scared the crap out of me (and his sadist tendencies still do!) but his character has really grown on me over the last couple of books. Learning more about his past and seeing him at school with Kingsley have helped me relate to his character and I have to confess to having a bit of a crush on him. I've loved seeing how tender and caring he can be towards Nora and I'm starting to understand why he has such a hold on her heart. In The Mistress Nora spends a lot of time reminiscing about her earlier years with Soren and her memories of both him and Kingsley. She also goes some way to explaining her feelings towards Wesley although I still struggle with the idea of them as a couple, to me they just don't fit together and it seems like Nora would have to change who she really is to keep Wesley happy.
Overall I'd say that The Mistress is just as addictive as the previous books in the series. Tiffany Reisz has a way of writing that pulls you into her story and makes you care about her characters and what happens to them. I'm so invested in Nora's story that there is no doubt I'll read anything this author writes about her. I want to see her find some kind of happy ever after, not necessarily a wedding and children kind of HEA because I'm not sure that is what Nora really wants, but definitely one where she is happy, loved and accepted for who she is.

Review:
I'm a huge fan of Tiffany Reisz's Original Sinners series, she writes such fabulous erotic stories and is an absolute queen of kink so I always know I'm in for a treat when I pick up one of her books. I have to be honest and admit that as much as I love this series I've put off reading The Prince for a long time because I wasn't really looking forward to seeing Nora run off with Wesley. It's not that I dislike Wesley but I've never felt that he is well suited to Nora so I wasn't as excited about this novel because of that. Luckily for me The Prince is split into three sections so only one third of the story is focused on Nora and Wesley and if I'd known that in advance I would probably have read this book much sooner.
The chapters rotate through the three different segments of the story in order which works really well because it's constantly building tension and leaving readers with mini cliffhangers as events switch to a different point of view and timeline. It's probably easier to talk about each section separately in this review but I'm going to deliberately keep details about the plot very vague to avoid giving spoilers.
I think my favourite part of the story was seeing Kingsley and Soren at school together, we have known for a long time that there is history between them but I absolutely loved getting to learn more about both of them. Seeing them meeting for the first time and watching their relationship develop was fascinating. Kingsley is a character that I've always loved and it was amusing to see that he was still a hit with the ladies even as a teenager. His feelings for Soren are completely new to him though and we get to see him discover a new side to himself - this is very much Kingsley's coming of age story. Soren is a character who has both fascinated and terrified me in equal measures since we first met him so I found it really interesting to see him as a teenager rather than as a fully grown man. Even his younger self is scary but I enjoyed learning more about his background and why he acts the way he does. I'm not saying his kink is entirely down to his upbringing but there are events in his past that definitely damaged him.
As well as seeing glimpses into Kingsley and Soren's past we also see them in the present. Someone is making threats against them and whoever it is they know all sorts of intimate details about them and the people in their circle. It looks like someone from their past is trying to stir up trouble but they are at a loss when it comes to figuring out who it is. I have to admit I was a little disappointed in Kinglsey in this part of the story, he comes across as very bitter about Soren's relationship with Nora and although he has good reason to be jealous I found him a little too brooding about it all. I guess I just missed the flirtatious façade he usually shows the world but I did still enjoy seeing how his relationship with Soren has changed and the way they interact with each other now.
I hadn't particularly been looking forward to the section about Nora and Wesley and I have to say that it was my least favourite part of the story. Not because it wasn't well written because is is - this is more a case of "it's not you, it's me". I just really have no interest in reading about Wesley's rich family and their horse racing circle and I find that even Nora starts to bore me when she's around him. He's a nice kid but that's how I see him - as a kid. I love this series for it's kinksters and for Nora's crazy sexual escapades and I'm afraid sweet, virginal Wesley just doesn't do it for me no matter how nice I think he is. I'd much rather see him with pretty much anyone else and for Nora to be back in the underground with Soren where she belongs!
Although there were parts of the story I didn't enjoy as much as the rest this is still a fab instalment to the series. There is so much going on with the person who is making threats towards Soren and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to find out what would happen next. The book ends on a killer of a cliffhanger so I'm actually grateful that I left it so long to read The Prince - it meant I didn't have to wait months for the release of The Mistress, in fact I've already made a start on it!

Review: The Angel - Tiffany Reisz

| UK Cover |
Nora Sutherlin is hiding. On paper, she's following her master's orders - and her flesh is willing.
More deeply, more strongly than she'd wanted anyone
But her mind is wandering to a man from her past, whose hold on her heart is less bruising, but whose absence is no less painful. Instead of letting him make love to her, she'd let him go.
This is the storty of a summer that proves love hurts.

Review:
I absolutely loved The Siren so I'm not sure why it took me quite so long to get around to reading The Angel, possibly because I was worried that it wouldn't be able to live up to my expectations in spite of the many positive reviews I've seen for it. The only reason I'm not kicking myself for not reading it sooner is that I already have copies of the next 2 books so won't have to wait to read them. This is such a captivating series and I'm dying to know what happens next!
With a reporter sniffing around Soren Nora is forced to go against her instincts and leave him until the dust settles. Soren sends her to stay with Griffin and asks her to take Michael with her and train him to become a submissive. As much as she hates the idea of leaving Soren she really likes Griffin and Michael so spending time with them won't be a hardship. Leaving Soren hurts though and it reminds her of the pain of losing Wesley too. Soren is left behind to deal with the reporter Suzanne and try to make sure she doesn't discover his deepest darkest secrets.
I have to say my favourite characters in The Angel were Michael and Griffin, I absolutely loved the interactions between the two of them and they add a lot of sweetness to what at times is quite a dark story. The way their romance develops was wonderful and I could happily spend hours reading about them. I still find Nora hard to relate to and don't understand half of the choices she makes but that doesn't make me any less interested in what happens to her. She is one of the most complex characters I've come across in a long time and I can't wait to see what the future holds for her. I'm not sure I understand her obsession with Wesley though, the two of them are so different that I find it hard to picture them ever being together as a couple so it will be interesting to see what happens between the two of them in the future.
When I read The Siren Soren scared the crap out of me, if I'm honest he STILL terrifies me but I'm starting to understand him better now. It was absolutely fascinating to learn more about his back story and see what turned him into the man he is today and I actually started to understand why Nora and Suzanne were so attracted to him. There is definitely something compelling about his character even if his desire to inflict pain would send me running a million miles in the opposite direction! There is just something about Soren and Nora as a couple that works so well, it's like they are meant to be together even though there are so many things that should technically keep them apart.
Tiffany Reisz creates such wonderful but flawed characters, you may not always understand their actions but you will always want to know how things turn out for them. I'm really excited that Kinglsey takes more of a central role in the next book, The Prince, he has been a favourite character from the beginning and I'm really looking forward to learning more about his past.

Review:
The Siren is one of my favourite books of the year so it's no surprise that I've been devouring everything else I can find that was written by Tiffany Reisz. She has fast become an automatic buy author and I can't imagine that changing any time soon. The more we learn about the cast of characters in the Original Sinners series the more I love them and the more I want to see of them. It's funny because Tiffany manages to pull me completely out of my comfort zone but she does it in such a gently teasing way that I hardly notice I've left safety until I take a breath and pause for a second. Even then I'm actually surprised to find that something that should shock and horrify me is actually turning me on! Not many authors have the skill to do that but Tiffany does it consistently and with such unbelievable skill.
I have been dying to learn more about Kingsley since I first met him in The Siren and oh boy was he worth the wait! Known as the King of Kink Kingsley is a dominant who knows exactly what he wants and how to get it. He makes no apologies for his desires and I'm pretty sure he could convince anyone to do anything with his sexy accent, whip smart sense of humour and gorgeous body. Despite being dominant Kingsley doesn't scare the crap out of me (unlike a certain character from The Siren who I'm not going to mention here!), he is arrogant, domineering and sexy as hell and I'd happily submit to him any day of the week!
Charlie is new to the D/s lifestyle, she has always felt something was missing in her previous relationships and has always found the nice guys that she has dated somewhat boring so when Kingsley offers to spend a month training her to become a submissive it's an offer she can't refuse (who could?). I really enjoyed seeing how Kingsley introduced her to BDSM, he takes his time building up her confidence and slowly pushes her limits further every day. It was fascinating following her journey and watching her blossom as she let her deepest desires come to the surface.
Submit to Desire may only be a novella but the smut levels are off the charts. One particular scene involving a blindfold and a selection of random household objects, well lets just say I was in need of a cold shower after reading it! My only complaint about the story is that it ended, I could have happily spent days reading about Kingsley and Charlotte. I'm now a complete Kingsley addict and in desperate need of my next fix - in fact I think I'll have to go and read this novella again while I wait for Tiffany's next release! If you haven't already discovered this author's writing then you're missing out on a treat, I'd recommend starting with The Siren but I'm sure you'll soon be moving on to the novellas while you wait for The Angel to release (don't forget to check out the free short stories that are available on Tiffany's website).

Notorious Nora Sutherlin is famous for her delicious works of erotica, each one more popular with readers than the last. But her latest manuscript is different—more serious, more personal—and she’s sure it’ll be her breakout book…if it ever sees the light of day.
Zachary Easton holds Nora’s fate in his well-manicured hands. The demanding British editor agrees to handle the book on one condition: he wants complete control. Nora must rewrite the entire novel to his exacting standards—in six weeks—or it’s no deal.
Nora’s gruelling writing sessions with Zach are draining…and shockingly arousing. And a dangerous former lover has her wondering which is more torturous—staying away from him…or returning to his bed?
Nora thought she knew everything about being pushed to your limits. But in a world where passion is pain, nothing is ever that simple.

Review:
Other reviewers have already said it but I feel I have to say it again - if you are looking for a traditional romance story then this is probably not the book for you. The Siren doesn't have a happy ever after - in fact I don't think it would have been possible to give these characters a HEA at this point in their lives - but as it is the first book in a trilogy I'm hopeful that we may have a happier ending by the time the series finishes. What I will say is that if you're looking for unique, flawed characters who will worm their way into your heart precisely because they are so broken then you need to read this book.
I'm going to tell you right now that The Siren isn't an easy read, parts of the book made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and it definitely touched on things that shocked me but in spite of that I never once considered not finishing it. From practically the first page I was completely captivated by these characters. I may not have understood some of the choices they made and I didn't always agree with their lifestyle choices but Tiffany Reisz managed to make me connect with them anyway. What was most interesting was seeing inside their heads and discovering how they felt and why they had developed their particular quirks.
Nora is our main character and the story is about her relationships with 3 very different men - Soren, Zach and Wesley. Nora is a writer who is famous for her erotica books, she has a huge fan base but what she really wants is to be accepted by a mainstream publisher and become respected as a serious writer in spite of the erotic content of her story. Writing is her passion but her main income comes from her job as a Dominatrix, in the BDSM circles she moves in she is a queen and people pay extraordinary amounts of money just to have her tie them up and spank them. Nora is such a fascinating character who is full of contradictions which is shown partly in her ability to switch between the roles of Dominant and submissive. She is highly intelligent, witty, good at verbal banter, very aware of her own sexuality and willing to take what she wants. She doesn't feel the need to hide her desires and she isn't afraid of what others think of her. Despite all of that she is also someone who is broken and at times she seemed so lost that my heart went out to her.
Now lets have a look at the men in her life. First I'm going to talk about Zach. He is an editor at the respected publishing house who have decided they want to purchase Nora's next novel. He is quite a snob and believes that Nora is beneath him because she writes erotica. Zach is English but has been living in New York since his wife Grace left him, they may have been separated for a year but it is obvious he is still hung up on her and it takes a while before you find out the reason for their split. Although he hates the idea of working for Nora his boss is pretty insistent and after meeting her for the first time he finds himself intrigued by her. She isn't anything like he expected her to be and he finds himself drawn to her like no other woman since Grace. A brutal editor he is well known for upsetting the authors he works with but Nora is willing to take any amount of criticism that he can throw at her if it means her book will be better by the end of the process. I have to say that out of all of Nora's relationships this was the one I liked least (which is saying something considering how I feel about Soren!). For some reason I found it really difficult to like Zach, I just found him a bit too willing to sit back and let things happen to him. I wanted to see more fight in him to go out and get what he wanted from life and I felt that he was using Nora because she was convenient rather than because he had any real feelings for her. That didn't really seem to worry Nora though so I'm not sure why it irritated me so much.
The next man (well I say man but I almost want to call him a boy) I'm going to mention is Wesley. He was the character I loved the most, he is such a sweet and innocent young man and he cares so deeply for Nora. I desperately wanted him to be with Nora but equally didn't see how such an innocent young virgin would ever be enough for someone as used to the D/s lifestyle as she was. Wesley is her rock and she does love him but I never felt that she was in love with him like a partner would be. They were good friends and she doesn't feel she could live without him but she equally didn't want to taint what they had with the darker side of her life. Wesley hated her job as a Dominatrix and desperately wanted her to give up that lifestyle and settle down. Watching the two of them was both adorably sweet and heartbreaking at the same time. You are left feeling that they could be so good together if only he wasn't so innocent or she wasn't so experienced. It felt like the ultimate case of bad timing.
Now the final man in Nora's life is Soren, he is the love of her life and she was in a D/s relationship with him from when she was just 15 years old. For the majority of the book their relationship both horrified and terrified me - Soren is quite a bit older than her and when you discover more about who he is you'll understand why I felt like he had possibly abused a position of trust. I have read stories with fairly light BDSM in before but between Nora and Soren things are hardcore and reading made me cringe at times. I still don't know quite what to make of Soren, I don't trust him and I don't like him but as I got to know him I did start to feel like he had genuine feelings for Nora. The love between them may not be something that I could understand but that doesn't make it any less. Although Nora loves Soren she still left him and they have been apart for a year now, I can't really go into details of their separation without giving spoilers so I'll just say that it was sad to see how deeply they both cared and not wish for them to find a way to be together.
I've said it already but it's worth saying again - The Siren isn't a traditional romance but that doesn't make it any less a love story. There are so many different kinds of love between these characters but it is a messy kind of love, the kind that doesn't have an easy happy ending but the kind that sticks with you long after you finish reading about it. If you're going to read this book then you need to go into it with no expectations, be prepared to be taken way out of your comfort zone, be prepared for things that will probably shock and horrify you but also be prepared to be captivated. Tiffany Reisz will take you on a ride unlike any you've ever been on and you will enjoy every second of the emotional roller coaster!

Review: Little Red Riding Crop - Tiffany Reisz
BDSM erotica writer Tiffany Reisz fractures the famous Little Red Riding Hood fairy tale in this sexy short story, a free prequel to THE SIREN (Mira Books, August 2012).
Mistress Nora needs a vacation. She might be the one flogging the clients, but Kingsley, her sexy French boss, is the real sadist who rarely gives her a day off. They strike a backseat deal: Nora gets one month off and a trip to Europe if she can sneak into a rival BDSM club and get the dirt on the owner. But she’ll need more than her little red riding crop when she comes face to face with Brad Wolfe, the one man who stands between her and freedom.

Review:
Little Red Riding Crop is a free short story that can be downloaded from Tiffany Reisz's website. Although this is a prequel to her debut novel The Siren and can be read before the book I'd recommend reading the novel first so you already have a feel for the characters. As you can probably tell by the title the story is a bit of a play on Little Red Riding Hood and I certainly want to know more about Big Brad Wolfe!
Nora is a popular Dominatrix who works in Kingsley's underground BDSM club but that doesn't allow for much time off. Desperate for a break Kingsley promises her a month long holiday in Europe is she does him one small favour. All she has to do is sneak into a rival club and find out who is the elusive owner.
Anyone who has already read The Siren will love finding out a bit more about Nora's past and it was also great to see a bit more of Kingsley. I'm incredibly intrigued by Brad though and really hope we get to see more of him in the series! Fans of Tiffany Reisz will know to expect some scorching sex scenes and as they're taking place in a BDSM club you won't be surprised to hear they're a little on the kinky side. I am so in love with these characters that I can't get enough of them so this was a fab addition to the series. I can't wait to read the rest of the free stories that are already available on Tiffany's website!

Review:
Seven Day Loan is a prequel novella to Tiffany Reisz's debut novel The Siren and although it can be read as a stand alone story I think I enjoyed it more because I'd already read the main book. I already have an emotional connection to Eleanor and that helps when you're reading such a short story.
When submissive Eleanor's Dom has to leave the country on business he decides to lend her to his friend for a week. She isn't happy that her Master is leaving her with a stranger but she agrees to make him happy. Daniel has become a recluse since the death of his wife three years ago and Eleanor's Master thinks that she can help him start to recover from his grief. Daniel is also a Dom and knows exactly how to give Eleanor what she needs making her time with him a lot better than she expected. In fact, things are so good that she isn't sure if she wants to leave.
Seven Day Loan is a quick read and it took me less than an hour to finish it but that doesn't mean it wasn't satisfying. There is plenty of kink (my eyes just about popped out of my head at one point!) but I also grew to really like the characters. Eleanor I felt I already knew as she is the main character in The Siren but I fell for Daniel and really want to learn more about him. I actually found myself wishing for a happy ending and for the two of them to be together. However, this is only a prequel to what is set to be an eight book series so it would be too easy to have our HEA quite so soon.
Anyone who enjoyed this story and who wants to know more about Eleanor and her Master should definitely check out The Siren which is one of my favourite reads of the year so far. Daniel doesn't appear in the full length novel but there are two more short stories about him that can be read for free on Tiffany Reisz's website (I've not read them yet but am planning to start them as soon as I finish this review). Tiffany Reisz seems to have come out of nowhere in the last couple of months but her books are something that all of my Goodreads friends seem to be talking about, she is definitely an author to watch out for and someone who has been added to my auto-buy list!
