Taran Wird, the loudmouth mistress of flame and lightning, didn’t want to attend the formal gathering of the supernatural elite. She did so only to help to unite the supreme beings in attendance in one common goal: protecting Taran’s sister, Celia.

Celia is pregnant with alpha werewolf Aric Connor’s child, the same child prophesized to save the world from uprising evil. Evil wants this child dead before he is born and, more importantly, before he can grow strong enough to stop it.

Taran and her werewolf lover, Gemini, put plans in place to protect Celia. Master Vampire Misha Aleksandr and his clan also swear their allegiance to Celia and vow to keep her from harm. The witches even cast protection spells around the manor to curse anyone with malintent who enters. Nothing was supposed to go wrong, except everything did.

Creatures that shouldn’t exist stalk the grounds and invade the premises, and every curse meant to shield the guests turns against them. No one counted on the powerful being who arrived uninvited. But he’s here, manipulating the magic enclosing the estate to work in his favor.

Review:
With Celia heavily pregnant with the child that is supposed to save the world the whole supernatural community, from the Pack to the vampires and even the witches, have come together to keep her safe. Their enemies are converging though and they are equally determined to kill Celia before the child is born. This battle will be the fiercest one yet and Taran will do anything to protect her sister, even if it means making the ultimate sacrifice.

Of Flame and Fury is the final book of the Weird Girls series told from Taryn's point of view but I don't believe it will be the last book in the series. I'm not sure which sister will be up next but I'm already looking forward to continuing the adventures! This book was pretty much non stop action from beginning to end, their enemies are out in force and its going to take everyone working together if they want to save Celia. Taran has to make some difficult decisions but alongside Gemini, Aric, Shayna and Emme they will never give up.

While I loved the battle scenes in this book I have to admit I would have liked some more quieter moments where we just got to spend time with the characters we know and love. There was less humour in this book because there was so much danger and I missed that a little here. It was still a fab instalment though and I'm more eager than ever to get to Emme and Shayna's stories so I hope we don't have to wait too long for the next one!

Review:
I'm a huge fan of the Weird Girls series, Celia and Aric have long been my favourite couple so I was really excited to find that they were going to be the stars of this new story. I'll admit I was a little confused when I realised we were going to see them both as teenagers though, them meeting at that age has never been mentioned in the rest of the series so I was a bit unsure how Gone Hunting would fit into the existing timeline, happily Cecy Robson handled that brilliantly and this story was made all the more bittersweet because I know how much they still have to go through before they'll eventually get their happily ever after.

I loved getting the chance to see these two as fairly innocent fifteen year olds, it was fantastic to see Aric with his parents and I loved seeing Gemini, Koda and Liam as teenagers too. The four boys have had a tight bond throughout the entire series but this really shows that they had a strong bond even throughout childhood and went through a lot together even before Aric had the responsibility of being Alpha on his shoulders. They were all just how you'd imagine them to be, all teenage cockiness but with a lot of heart and determination. Celia was shyer and more wary but that was completely understandable considering the circumstances she found herself in. Unfortunately we don't get to see younger versions of her sisters but I actually quite liked the fact that Celia was front and centre in this story and enjoyed seeing how much she has always taken care of her younger siblings.

The romance between Celia and Aric was innocent but totally heartfelt, they go through so much as an adult couple that it was kind of heartbreaking to realise how much easier things could have been for them if only fate (and the pack elders!) hadn't been so determined to interfere. I also loved that this story was told from Aric's point of view, it was great to see inside his head and get to know him just a little bit better. Although this works brilliantly as an introduction to the series it actually left me really wanting to reread the rest so I could follow Celia and Aric's relationship full circle.

Review:
Of Flame and Fate is the eighth book in Cecy Robson's Weird Girls series and it's another action packed adventure that is full of humorous moments but can also be quite dark at times. Taran is in a much better place now that she's getting to grips with her new abilities and her relationship with Gemini is back on an even keel, things still aren't perfect between them (he's a little too overprotective and Taran hides things from him because she doesn't want to get into an argument which means she ends up putting herself into dangerous situations without backup) but it's a definite improvement from where they were at in the last book.

This story focuses on the larger role that the Weird sisters, and their future children, have in protecting the universe. There are a few different prophecies at play and the sisters are now stuck between the living embodiments of both Destiny and Fate waiting to see which one will come out on top. Nothing has ever been easy for these sisters and even when Celia in particular should be enjoying her happily ever after their future safety is far from certain. Celia and her unborn child are both major targets for the forces of evil and there is nothing Taran won't put herself through to protect them both.

I've always loved the relationship between the sisters, growing up they never had anyone to rely on but each other so they are a very tight unit. They all have different strengths and weaknesses but they balance each other out and as a team they're pretty unstoppable. Their family has slowly grown to include Aric, Gemini, Koda and a few others but they still find it difficult to trust most of Aric's pack considering everything Celia was put through previously. It's interesting to see how the dynamics are slowly changing though and I'm very excited to see what happens between Emme and a certain werewolf she's falling hard for. It's about time for her to find some happiness!

I always look forward to new books in this series so now I've finished reading this I'll go back to impatiently waiting for the next one.

Review:
Taran isn't in a great place right now, she lost her arm in a vicious werewolf attack and although she has been given a magical replacement it's causing her a lot of problems. The magic of her new arm isn't connecting well with the magical abilities she already had and now she's completely lost control of her powers. Her flame is burning her up from the inside out and if she doesn't find a way to get back control then her life is at risk. As if her internal struggles weren't enough she's also in a really bad place with her mate, Gemini is sending all kinds of mixed signals but two things are very clear - he pushes her away every time he catches a glimpse of her new arm and he's spending far too much time with a certain head witch that has always had her eye on him. Taran knows she's going to have to accept Genevieve's help if she wants a chance of re-learning to control her power but the last thing she wants to do is watch the witch cozy up to Gemini so it's going to be an extremely difficult situation for her.

I have to admit I was a little confused when I first started reading this book, mainly because at the end of Of Flame and Promise it seemed like Taran and Gemini had sorted out their problems but at the start of Of Flame and Light they aren't even talking to each other and appear to have been apart for several months. It just wasn't what I was expecting and it threw me a little but it's because Taran's first book started midway through Cursed by Destiny in the series timeline and now this second book catches us up to where she's at by the end of A Curse Unbroken. There's a gap of several months in her story but we're already familiar with what happened to her and how she lost her arm so it's not an issue.

I've always loved Taran's feisty personality, she's not got much of a filter so she comes out with the most outrageous comments but she has a heart of gold inside. Woe betide anyone who gets on her wrong side though and if you go up against one of her sisters then you'll be in for a whole world of hurt when Taran catches up with you. Taran has been through so much in the last few books though and it's obviously affected her confidence big time. On the face of it she still comes across as her smartalec self but when you look a bit closer it's easy to see that she's putting on an act to try and hide how terrified she is of what is happening to her. Her life has spiraled completely out of control, the power she's always been able to rely on to protect herself and her sisters is backfiring badly which is putting the people she is closest to in danger and the mate that she loves with all her heart has walked away and appears to be moving on with someone else. It's heartbreaking to see how much she's struggling and that not even her sisters are able to help her.

I've always loved Gemini before this book but if I was one of Taran's sister's I would have kicked his butt for the way he acts here because he badly deserved it. The way he kept blowing hot and cold made me so angry and even though I'd guessed at why he seemed to be rejecting her new arm (and it was kind of an understandable reason) I find it really hard to forgive the way he acted around Genevieve. There was no cheating involved (thankfully because that's something that would have ended my love for his character permanently) but he lets Taran think there is even though he can see how much it is hurting her. I was so angry with him for causing her more pain when she's already been through so much. It was time for him to step up to the plate and be there for her when she really needed him but he completely failed her and I'm still kind of bitter about it so he's going to have to work hard in the next book for me to love him as much as I did before.

It's the sign of a great book that I was so invested in the characters though and I really do love all of the Wird sisters so it was great to see how the others are getting on. Celia and Aric seem to be finally getting the happily ever after that they deserve and I loved the little hints dropped about Emme and a certain werewolf. Of Flame and Light has plenty of other things going on apart from the stress between Taran and Gemini, not only is Taran having to cope with the whole coven of witches that tried to destroy herself and her sisters when they first arrived in the area but she's also trying to help locate an out of control witch who is set on raising an army of zombies to attack her sisters. There are some truly creepy scenes involving the army of the dead and there's definitely plenty of action going on so this was a fast paced read that I absolutely whizzed through. I love the world Cecy Robson has created and I'm looking forward to the next instalment.

Review:
I absolutely love Cecy Robson's Weird Girls series so I was thrilled to find out that the series was continuing beyond Celia's story and that we were going to get to know her sisters a little better. Of Flame and Promise gives the second oldest Taran a chance to shine and I really loved getting to see inside her head. I was expecting Taran's story to pick up where A Curse Unbroken left off but it actually backtracks a little and gives us a chance to see some of Celia's story from a different point of view. I think that it slots into the timeline somewhere in the middle of Cursed by Destiny (the third book in the series) but I can't swear to that and I'm not sure if the plot takes us beyond that book so I would recommend reading Of Flame and Promise after A Curse Unbroken just to make sure you don't end up with accidental spoilers. In fact, for the purpose of this review I'm going to assume you've already read the first five books so if you're not up to date I would recommend looking away now.

If you think back to Cursed by Destiny you'll probably remember that Celia and Aric are in a very bad place, they may be mates but Aric has been forced to walk away from Celia because of the pack elders and they're both pretty heartbroken over it. It was pretty tough watching Celia and Aric's relationship falling apart all over again but it was interesting to see how it affected Taran. What I liked was that Taran got to see more of Aric's side of the story, something we didn't see as much of when the story was told from Celia's point of view.

It's not only their relationship that is suffering though, Taran was already pretty sure that Gem would break her heart eventually and now she's convinced that their relationship is doomed. The sisters have never really had anyone to rely on apart from each other and Taran is probably the one that feels that the most, she has trouble trusting people at the best of times but Gem had been slowly winning her around and she does love him more than anything. She even believes that he loves her too but having watched Aric walk away from the mate bond she can't trust that Gem won't end up doing the same to her. Gem wants nothing more than to have Taran accept the mating bond but she's scared and when he asks her to meet his parents she's even more nervous.

I have to say Taran meeting her future in laws was absolutely hilarious. Taran is loud mouthed, feisty and very opinionated, she has strong magic that she isn't afraid to use but she's just as likely to defend herself or the people she cares about with her sharp tongue and she's not exactly the easiest going of the sisters. Luckily Gem loves her unconditionally but his parents are very conservative and she is not the kind of girl they expected their son to fall for. Unfortunately for Taran everything that could possibly go wrong did go wrong, no matter how hard she tried to make a good impression it was a complete disaster and I spend half of the book laughing at the craziness. Taran does eventually get the chance to show Gem's parents what she is made of though and when the fighting starts it's just as action packed as you'd expect from this series.

Of Flame and Promise was a lighter in tone than some of the later Weird Girls novels but it still contains everything that makes this series so much fun to read. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more of Taran's story and I'm really hoping that we're going to get books about Emme and Shayna too.

Review:
I'm such a fan girl when it comes to this series, from the minute I pick up any of these books I'm completely sucked into the world Cecy Robson has created and I get really irritated when real life gets in the way and makes me stop reading for any reason. This series has been full of humour from the very beginning but after the last book, which was somewhat darker, I really, really appreciated the hilarious opening couple of chapters to A Curse Unbroken. I'm not going to give you any hints about what happens but I will say that it's the kind of disaster that only Celia could have happen to her and I was practically crying with laughter. Although the story starts on a humorous note there are also some really sweet and heartfelt moments as well as all the action and tension that you'd expect from one of these books.

Celia and Aric have been through hell and back but their happily ever after was never going to come easily and they're not about to be able to walk into the sunset without at least one last major battle. I'm not going to say too much about the plot but I will tell you that A Curse Unbroken ties up all the lose ends to Celia and Aric's story, it isn't the last book in the series but it's the last that will be from Celia's point of view (for now anyway!) and her sister Taran will take over the lead role in the next book. I'm absolutely thrilled that we're going to get to know Taran, and eventually the other sisters, better - they're all still reeling from the emotional roller coaster that they've been on and now they've got to start trying to put their lives back together again.

A Curse Unbroken is a fantastic instalment to the series, it will keep you hooked from beginning to end and will leave you with a massive smile on your face. We get so many hints at what could be to come for the whole Weird family and I'm so glad that this series is still going strong. I definitely can't wait to get my hands on the next instalment!

Review:
I'm the biggest fan of this series, I love the world, I love the characters and I've devoured every single book and novella the second I've got my hands on them. A Cursed Bloodline was one of my most anticipated reads of the autumn so I had incredibly high expectations but now that I've finished reading it I think I'm in shock and I'm still not quite sure what to make of it.

A Cursed Bloodline had me completely gripped from the very beginning, so much so that I stayed up all night reading and finished it just before 7am! The book brought out so many intense emotions in me, I was shocked, angry, horrified, angry, hurt, angry, devastated, angry and heart broken. There were a couple of moments where I giggled but they were few and far between which is unusual for this series. If I had to pick one word to describe my mood reading this book it would have to be depressed. Every single time Celia was given even a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel something even worse would come along and smash her hope to smithereens and I actually got to the point where I was finding it painful to carry on reading. Never mind poor Celia - I needed something good to happen to stop my own heart from breaking!

I do feel that the book deserves top ratings because it made me feel everything so intensely, not every author has the ability to do that to me, but on the other hand I read for fun and this book made me suffer. I can deal with a certain amount of emotional upheaval in a story but there comes a point where you start thinking enough is enough and because everything is so bleak you start to wonder if you can bear to carry on reading. I'm still a huge fan of this series though and I'm going to trust Cecy Robson to make things better in the next instalment. She's taken us through rough patches before (although never quite this bad!) and always brought the characters out the other side stronger than ever so I'm going to trust that she'll manage it again. I just hope to god that the next book will be a little lighter in tone though or I may need therapy afterwards!

One thing I really love about these books is seeing how far Celia has come. Her bond with her sisters is really tested this time and I did find myself a little annoyed with the others (particularly Shayna) for not standing by her when she needed them. They should have known her well enough to understand that she must have good reasons for her actions and they should have supported her even if they didn't agree with her decisions - just like Danny and Bren did. I was less annoyed with the way the wolves behaved because they were acting with Aric's best interests at heart and they don't know Celia as well as her sisters should but even they started to annoy me after a while. It was Anara that brought my rage to unprecedented levels though and his actions made my blood boil.

The story has plenty of action where we get to see Celia kicking ass but I was a little disappointed that a major part of the final battle was off screen and we only find out exactly what happened later on when Celia asks her sisters about it. I know there is a reason for that (Celia was unconscious during that scene and since she's the narrator it would have been impossible for her to witness events unfolding) but I really would have preferred to see what happened first hand. Perhaps we could have seen Celia struggling to stay conscious and been given hazy details about what was happening as she looked on? I think that would have worked better for me anyway.

A Cursed Bloodline is one of those books that is going to shock fans. It'll probably be a Marmite book, one that you'll either end up loving or hating but no matter what you're bound to have an extreme reaction to it which, quite frankly, can only be a good thing. It took me a long time to decide whether this is my favourite instalment in the series or the complete opposite but I've come to the conclusion that any book that has me so invested that I feel like I'm being kicked in the teeth every time something happens to the heroine has to get top marks. This is definitely one of my favourite series and I'm now even more eager for the next book than ever!

Review:
I love Cecy Robson's Weird Girls series so couldn't wait to start reading the new prequel novella, A Curse Awakened. This story is set before any of the previous novels and gives fans a bit more background information on the curse that was cast on the sisters before they were even born. Together Celia, Taran, Shayna and Emme must face their past and uncover what really happened to them but they may not have enough power to put a stop to it.

If it wasn't exciting enough to delve deeper into the Wird family history we also get to see more of their friendship with human Danny and discover exactly how he was drawn into the supernatural world that the girls were born into. When Danny's father is kidnapped by vampires he immediately turns to Celia and the others for help and of course none of them are able to walk away from a friend in need.

A Curse Awakened is perfect for fans of the series who enjoy digging deeper into their favourite character's backgrounds but it's also a great place to start if you're new to the series and it will give you a good idea of Cecy Robson's writing style and the humour she weaves into all of her stories. I've been hooked on this series since I first discovered it and I don't see that changing any time soon!

Celia is devastated after Aric left her and his fast approaching wedding to another pureblood were isn't making her feel any happier. She can't stay living at home with her sisters surrounded by Aric's warriors but she can't be on her own thanks to the demons who are constantly trying to take her out so she has no other option but to accept Misha's offer of sanctuary. To take her mind off her broken heart Celia is focusing on learning better control of her powers and training to become as fast and strong as possible. For some reason the Tribe seem to be gunning for her and she is going to need every skill she can gain if she wants to have a chance of winning against them. Luckily she will always have her sisters at her back, they may not be living with her but they'd never leave her unprotected.

I have become a massive fan of the Weird Girls series since I first started reading it so have been eagerly waiting for this instalment, especially after Aric's actions during the last book! I still don't think I've fully recovered from the emotional roller coaster A Cursed Embrace took me on and Cecy Robson wasn't done with me yet! Cursed by Destiny was just as action packed as the previous books, in fact I think things have moved up a gear when it comes to the Tribe and the battles that Celia and her sisters are facing. Nobody is safe but Celia seems to be their main target and they are sending all the big guns in her direction. She doesn't have time to sit and cry over her broken heart, she's far too busy trying to stay alive!

I've never been a huge fan of Misha, I always felt he was creepy and I never really believed that he cared about Celia but I have to say he really grew on me in this book. We see a more protective side of him and it was nice that Celia had someone to rely on to help her. I still don't see them as a couple though so I'm happy to say I'm still on Team Aric! I do enjoy watching Celia spend time with the vampires though, the Catholic Schoolgirls always make me laugh with the outrageous things they come out with and I appreciate the way Misha pushes Celia when it comes to her training.

It's no secret that Aric's actions shocked and horrified me in the last book, he broke my heart right alongside Celia's and I still haven't forgiven him for that. I do feel like I have a better understanding for his actions after this book though, I do wish he'd done things differently and I'm still waiting for him to completely redeem himself but I've never once wanted Celia to give up on him. I just have to believe that they will find a way to be together, that after everything they've been through things will turn out right in the long run. It seems like a happy ending is a long way off though so I guess I'm going to have to learn some patience. There were times when I wanted to give Aric a good kick and tell him to buck his ideas up but he does make some steps in the right direction, let's just hope this continues in the next book.

There are so many things I want to talk about but I can't because I don't want to give spoilers. If you're already a fan of the series you're going to love Cursed by Destiny, it has all the humour, action and romance you'd expect plus so much more. I have really come to care about these characters and after the way things ended I can't wait for the next book! This is an auto-buy series for me and one I can't recommend highly enough.

Review:
I'm a huge fan of Cecy Robson's Weird Girls series and I can't tell you how excited I was to find out that she would be writing a story from the point of view of werewolf Bren. Bren is a lone wolf who has been friends with the Wird sisters for years, he thinks of them as his pack and is like a protective older brother to them. The last thing he wants to do is join Aric's pack but if that's what he has to do to keep the sisters safe then he'll make the sacrifice. After the way Aric has treated Celia though Bren is holding a grudge and he's determined to make Aric pay.

I've always liked Bren so it was great to have this chance to get to know him better. I'm not sure why but I'd assumed that he would find love in this story so I was a little surprised that there was no romance but if I'm honest I think I enjoyed the story more because the focus was on his relationship with Celia and on him trying to find a place for himself within the pack. I loved how protective he is towards all of the sisters but especially the way he deliberately pushes Aric's buttons to get back at him for hurting Celia. Bren's cocky attitude gets him in trouble but you can tell he only acts that way because he cares so much about his friends and he hates to see Celia in so much pain. I'm still mad at Aric myself for the way he behaved in the last book so I enjoyed seeing him get some payback.

A Cursed Moon contains a nice amount of action and we get to see Bren and Celia work together against a dangerous enemy that puts not just their lives at risk. I was completely shocked by the turn of events towards the end of the story and can't wait to see how that effects the dynamics among their little group in the next book. Fans of the series are going to love this story but it will definitely contain spoilers if you're new to the series so I wouldn't recommend it as a starting point. I quickly fell in love with this series though so it's one I will happily keep recommending to urban fantasy fans.

Review:
Having defeated their enemy and saved Misha and his family things should be settling down for Celia and her sisters, especially since they have started to get so close with werewolf alpha Aric and some of his warriors. Unfortunately nothing is ever simple for the girls and Aric's pack is determined to keep him and Celia apart. As if the pack politics weren't enough for them to deal with bodies start piling up as an unknown enemy starts chowing down on both humans and weres. Evidence points to the vampires but Celia knows that Misha can't be involved and is determined to uncover what is really going on. When it becomes clear that Celia and her sisters all have targets painted on their backs they realise they are in for the fight of their lives and even though they have both the weres and the vampires at their backs they might not be strong enough to survive.

I really enjoyed the previous stories in the Weird Girls series but A Cursed Embrace surpassed all of my expectations and completely blew Sealed with a Curse out of the water. This is quickly turning into one of my favourite urban fantasy series and I can't wait to see where Cecy Robson takes things next. These books really do have everything I look for in a good story - great characters, fabulous banter and a family bond that always comes first, humour, action and plenty of hot guys to drool over! A Cursed Embrace took me on an emotional roller coaster that left me reeling at the end, I felt everything right alongside Celia - her joy, happiness and love followed by her shock, horror and despair. Everything that she went through happened to me too and it's not often that I feel so connected to a character I that want to cry her tears for her.

Celia is a fighter, she has spent years protecting her sisters and she will do anything to keep them safe no matter what it costs her personally. She always puts everyone else first but has never really had anyone who was there to look out for her, as the oldest she took responsibility for the others and although they appreciate everything she has done for them it would be nice for someone to look out for her for a change. That is one of the things I loved most about Aric, the way he stands up for her and has her back no matter what anyone else says. I'll admit that meant I was disappointed with his actions later in the book, I understand why he did what he did but that doesn't mean it hurt me any less when he did it. I don't want to say too much here for fear of spoiling the story for you but I know what I'm hoping for as the series continues and I'll definitely be waiting for Aric to redeem himself!

A Cursed Embrace had me hooked from the very first page, the plot was fantastic, their enemies were creepy and horrifying and I had my heart in my mouth several times in absolute terror about what was about to happen. By the time I reached the end I felt like I'd been through the emotional equivalent of my washing machine spin cycle, I had been through every single possible emotion (some more than once) and I was left reeling at the end of it. The end of the book made me gasp out loud and I don't know how I'm going to survive the wait for the next book! If you haven't come across this series then I really can't recommend it highly enough, I would suggest reading the books in order though because you'd miss out on some important character development if you started part way through. Cecy Robson has now become one of my auto buy authors and I will be devouring anything else she publishes the second I can get my hands on it!

Review:
The Wird sisters, Celia, Taran, Shayna and Emmie, all have unique abilities, they don't quite fit in with any of the other supernatural groups and all they have ever really wanted is to be able to find a place where they can be accepted for who they are and left to live in peace. The new home they recently moved to was supposed to give them a new start but when one of them kills a vampire in self-defence it brings them to the attention of master vampire Misha. The punishment for killing a vampire is death and Misha is determined to make sure they pay for their crime but as more and more of his family are infected with bloodlust he is left with no choice but to ask for their help. Now the sisters find themselves caught between the vampires they promised to help and the werewolf pack who is determined to destroy Misha and his family to stop the bloodlust epidemic from spreading. With Celia's growing attraction to the werewolf alpha Aric she may have to choose between her head and her heart.

Sealed with a Curse is the first full length novel in Cecy Robson's Weird Girls series and if you've read the prequel novella The Weird Girls you'll already be familiar with the curse that gave the Wird sisters their supernatural abilities. It isn't essential to have read the novella though and if you haven't you'll quickly be able to pick up all the important information. This is a strong debut and a great start to the series and although I had a couple of minor niggles it is well worth picking up if you're an urban fantasy fan. I'll start with my complaints and admit that I felt a couple of things were a little too convenient, I can't say too much without spoilers so I'll just briefly mention the sister's new boyfriends and the way all of them already knew each other was one of them, I'm sure you'll understand what I mean when you've read the book. The only other slight complaint is that I felt it was a little too easy to guess who the baddie was, I had them pegged when I was about a third of the way through and was desperately hoping to be proved wrong by the end but that wasn't the case. I did still enjoy watching the sisters trying to figure things out though.

Overall those minor irritations didn't stop me enjoying the story and there were far more positives than negatives. The story is told from Celia's point of view, she is the oldest sister and the one who has spent her whole life protecting her younger siblings. As a shapeshifter she has the ability to turn into a tigress but her inner beast has always frightened the people around her and she finds it harder than the others to fit in and live a normal life. I love that she was able to stand up for herself and her family though, in fact all four girls have kick ass abilities, they are fiercely loyal and there is nothing they wouldn't do for each other. It is so nice to have a group of sisters who in spite of having very, very different personalities still have a strong bond. I have to admit that from reading the synopsis I was a little concerned that I was in for yet another love triangle so I can't even begin to say how refreshing it was to discover that isn't the case. Yes Celia does have two very hot guys who are interested in her (Misha the vampire and Aric the werewolf alpha) but it was obvious from the very beginning where Celia's interests lay. I can't say I blame her because Aric was sexy as hell! He's gorgeous, powerful and very protective but at the same time he respected Celia's abilities. As much as he didn't want the girls to run off into danger without him and his pack at their sides he didn't try to stop them joining the fight.

Another thing that is outstanding about this book is the action, the pace was fast and furious from practically the beginning and even when it did let up I was still glued to the pages. I loved spending time with the sisters and I enjoyed the storyline with the vampires but I particularly loved every interaction between Celia and Aric. I can't wait to get my hands on the sequel A Cursed Embrace when it comes out later this year so I can spend more time in the world Cecy Robson has created. If you like strong heroines then you'll love this series where you'll find not just one but four kick ass chicks who are going to take the supernatural world around them by storm.
