Twisted Truths is the third book in New York Times bestselling author Rebecca Zanetti's breathtaking romantic suspense series, Blood Brothers, that will be loved by fans of Karen Rose, Kylie Brant, Elaine Levine, Maya Banks's KGI series and Lisa Jackson.
Noni is desperate. Her infant niece has been kidnapped, and the only person who can save her is a private detective with too many secrets to count - and more enemies than he can name. A man who walked away from Noni without any warning a year ago and broke her heart. But with Talia's life on the line, Noni won't take no for an answer...
The moment Denver Jones sees Noni, the memories come rushing back. The fire in her eyes. The determination in her voice. The danger of having her in his life. Denver had to push her away once, but now with vicious criminals threatening Noni and her niece, he'll do whatever it takes to protect them. But enemies from his past are circling, and they'll use anything - and anyone - to get to Denver.

Review:
Twisted Truths is the final book in Rebecca Zanetti's Blood Brothers series and it's definitely the one I was most excited about. Poor Denver has been pining for Noni since the beginning of the trilogy, he met her and fell in love before the series started but broke both of their hearts by walking away. He knows he left to protect her but she has no idea why he up and left without even saying goodbye. Noni never thought she'd see Denver again but her niece has been kidnapped and she needs help desperately, desperately enough that she's willing to ask the man who broke her heart for help.
There is no way Denver can turn down Noni's request for help, especially now that she's put a target on her back by very publicly searching for him on the internet. Even if he wasn't still in love with her he wouldn't be able to leave a young baby in the hands of a brutal gang though. Denver will do whatever it takes to keep Noni safe and to bring Talia home but he's going to have to work fast if he wants to do it before Maddison and Cobb catch up with them both.
I already loved Denver but it was so great to see him finally fighting for his chance at happiness. He's always been willing to risk his life so that his brothers will survive but once he starting to see the kind of future he could have with Noni it gave him even more strength for the battle. Denver has always been the silent one of the group and Noni used to let him get away with keeping secrets the first time they dated but now she's not willing to let him get off so easily and I loved how she kept pushing him for answers. They make such a fab couple, the chemistry between them was intense from the beginning but there was so much more to their relationship than just sex.
Dr Madison has been the evil at the centre of both the Sin Brothers and Blood Brothers series so I can't tell you how satisfying it was to finally have everything come to a head. This is a battle Denver, Heath and Ryker can't win alone though and that means bringing in the Dean brothers too which made it even better. This was a fantastic conclusion to both of these series, I'm going to miss these characters but at the same time I'm glad they're going to get to enjoy their HEAs now without the constant threat of Madison and her soldiers hanging over their heads.

Review:
Lethal Lies is the second book in Rebecca Zanetti's Blood Brothers series and this time we get to know Heath as he continues hunting for the serial killer mentioned in the previous book. Anya is being stalked by the killer as he keeps sends her photos of the victims, she is a profiler who has been helping the FBI try to track him but his latest victim was her sister and she is devastated. Now more determined than ever to catch the murderer she decides to taunt him by announcing her engagement to Heath in the middle of a press conference. Heath couldn't be more shocked about suddenly gaining a fiancee he's barely spoken to but the biggest problem of all is that she's just announced his name and location in the national news. It's a race against time to try and catch a killer before the enemies from his past manage to catch both Heath and his brothers.
I just completely devoured this trilogy in three days, I was totally sucked back into this world (I already read and loved the Sin Brothers books) and I couldn't seem to read these books fast enough. They're the perfect blend of action and romance and I really enjoyed getting to know Heath and Anya. I have to admit I was a little shocked by Anya's bold plan and the way she pulled Heath into it without speaking to him first but she had just walked out of her sister's funeral service and was emotionally all over the place so it was fairly easy to forgive her.
I've always loved the bond between Heath and his brothers Denver and Ryker but it's also been really interesting to catch a glimpse of the Dean brothers and their partners. Family is so important to all of them because they all had such horrendous upbringings and its really nice to see the two groups accept each other so easily. This book had less movement on the plot regarding the people from the past who are chasing the brothers but the hunt for the serial killer kept things moving and kept the tension levels high. It was interesting to see how everything is starting to tie together ready for the end of the series too, I've already read the final book and can confirm that it's a very satisfying ending.

Review:
I love Rebecca Zanetti's Sin Brothers books so I was excited to dive into Deadly Silence, the first book in the spin off Blood Brothers series. This story introduces us to three new brothers, Ryker, Heath and Denver, raised together in an orphanage they all have questions about their backgrounds that they are trying to find answers to while running their own detective agency specialising in searching for missing people. When a new client asks them to find a mysterious woman they remember from their own childhood it looks like their past and present are about to collide.
Zara has been casually seeing Ryker for months but knows there will never be anything serious between them. That doesn't stop her turning to him for help when one of her closest friends goes missing though and when it looks like Zara may be in danger too Ryker realises that he would do anything to keep her safe. The timing couldn't be worse considering Ryker's past, and his enemies, are about to catch up with him, but Zara needs his help and he could never walk away from her.
Rebecca Zanetti always manages to write books that are full of action and danger but also great characters, strong family bonds and scorching hot romances. Zara and Ryker's relationship is a little different because they're already seeing each other before the story starts but because they've both been trying to keep things casual we still get to see their relationship blossom throughout the book. Ryker was a very overprotective alpha male but Zara holds her ground and she's willing to fight for what she needs and not let him walk all over her which was good. He's actually more willing to pursue a relationship than she is because she has a fear of him walking away and breaking her heart and he could actually be a really sweet guy even though he was also quite demanding and knew exactly what he wanted.
As I've come to expect from this author one of my favourite things about this book was the bond between Ryker, Heath and Denver. The boys aren't related by blood but instead they chose each other and they are very close. They all had awful childhoods that were made even worse in the orphanage where they met and surviving that kind of hell together left them with an unbreakable bond. They've always known that someone from their past is hunting them so they've had to work hard to stay under the radar but when they take on a new client they start to realise that perhaps it's time to confront their past so they can finally move on with their lives. There was a lot to love about their story and I really enjoyed seeing characters from the Sin Brothers books put in an appearance too, I hope we see more cameos from them throughout the series.
I loved all three brothers so much that I've already started reading Heath's book, Lethal Lies, and I expect to be devouring Heath's story, Twisted Truths, immediately afterwards. Sometimes there are huge advantages of not starting a new series until all the books have been published and I intend to make the most of them!

Review:
As much as I've loved all the books in the Sin Brother's series Jory's story is the one I've been desperately waiting for since the very beginning. We've not had a chance to get to know him in the previous stories because he's been missing this whole time but we've seen glimpses of him as a child through all of his brother's eyes and I was desperate to see them all finally reunited. It turns out that Jory has been back in the Commander's control for the last few years, the video the brother's saw of him being shot wasn't faked and he was in a coma for years before requiring huge amounts of physiotherapy to get back on his feet. Now he's physically as strong as ever but the death chip implanted in his spine was damaged by the bullet and unless the Commander's top doctors can find a way to connect to it and enter the deactivation code he only has weeks to live.
Piper has been given the task of fixing Jory's chip. She has been told she is working with a traitor to her country and that they need her to save him so that they can get information about terrorist plans but she has no idea that Jory was actually the Commander's own creation. Piper has every reason to distrust Jory but the longer she spends with him working to fix the chip the more she realises that things aren't adding up around her and starts to question what she's been told. Jory will do anything to escape and get Piper back to his brothers so that she can deactivate their chips, he knows there is no chance for him because of the damage to his chip but he wants to save the others and he wants to see them one last time before he dies.
This whole series has been fantastic but I think Total Surrender was my favourite, I loved getting to know both Jory and Piper and it was brilliant to catch up with the previous couples too. There are some incredibly surprising revelations in this book and we get to see the family grow in more ways than one. Jory and Piper's romance was spot on, they go from wary strangers to reluctant allies to much, much more and I admired Piper's determination to do whatever it took to save her man and his brothers. I also love the strong bond between the Dean family, I waited a long time to see the brother's reunited and I'm not going to lie there were tears in my eye when they finally found each other again. This series has everything I want from a romantic suspense and I'm absolutely thrilled that there is a spin off series too, I can't wait to meet the Blood Brothers in Deadly Silence!

Review: Blind Faith - Rebecca Zanetti
A betrayal he couldn't forget . . .
For Nate Dean, love is a four-letter word. As part of a secret black-ops military unit, he and his brothers were genetically engineered by the government to be ruthless soldiers with an expiration date. They were loyal only to one another . . . until Nate laid eyes on the woman who stole his heart and blew his world apart. Now, years later, his family is still paying the price for his mistake. But as time runs out, there's only one person who can save his family: the very woman Nate swore he'd never trust again.
A love she couldn't deny . . .
The moment Audrey Madison spies Nate across a crowded ballroom, she can barely breathe. He's just as undeniably sexy as she remembers, yet there's an edge to him now that's as irresistible as it is dangerous. When he asks for her help, Audrey can't refuse. But she has secrets of her own--secrets that, if Nate ever discovers them, may cost them both their lives . . .

Review:
Nate is the second oldest of the Dean brothers and he's always taken on the role of protector of the youngest two alongside his Matt. In fact in some ways Nate was the one who worked hardest to give them as much of a childhood as they could have growing up on an army base where they were being trained as super-soldiers. Matt did the hard jobs to keep them safe but Nate was the centre of their family all the same. We've seen in the previous books what a horrific childhood they suffered thanks to the Commander and we also know they all have bombs literally ticking away inside their skulls waiting to destroy them if they can't be disarmed in time. In the last book we found out that the girl who broke Nate's heart may be the one person who has the answers they need so Nate goes in search of Audrey and answers.
Audrey's mother is doctor and scientist who plays a key role in the Commander's off the books programs including the creation and training of the Dean brothers. She threw Audrey and Nate together deliberately because she wanted to see how the boys would react to falling in love and she betrayed both of them deeply with her actions. Audrey never really had anyone who loved her before Nate and she was heartbroken when the Commander forced them apart but she was proud of the brothers for escaping and has always imagined them living a happy life somewhere without her. She only stayed behind because she was determined to put a stop to the Commander's experiments once and for all. When Audrey sees Nate all of her old feelings immediately come rushing back but there are so many secrets and misunderstandings between them that it is hard for either of them to trust each other fully.
I've loved every book in this series but I have to admit I think Blind Faith was my favourite so far, this series really does have everything I want from romantic suspense - fantastic action packed storylines, lots of twists and betrayals, a great cast of characters (I'm a sucker for a group of brothers who care about each other as much as the Deans do!) and hot but sweet romances. Nate and Audrey have brilliant chemistry but they were friends first and that shines through in every interaction between them along with a deep sense of caring and protectiveness. Throw in the chance to catch up with the other brothers and a few more hints about what could have become of the youngest Jory and I was on cloud nine reading this. I absolutely can't wait to read the next book but I have to admit I'm kind of sad the series is coming to an end!

Review: Sweet Revenge - Rebecca Zanetti
The One Man She Can't Have
Matt Dean was born to fight . . . and kill. A member of a secret black-ops military unit, he and his brothers were genetically engineered by the government to be the perfect soldiers with an expiration date. His mission leads him to Charmed, Idaho . . . and to a beautiful woman with eyes like emeralds and a body made for pleasure.
The One Woman He Can't Resist

She's spent years running from her own past-the last thing she needs is a romantic entanglement. Review:
I have absolutely no excuses for why it's taken me so long to pick up the second book in the series, especially since I really enjoyed the first book, but at least that means the entire series is available so I can now binge read the remaining books!
This series is about four brothers who were genetically engineered to be super-soldiers. Raised to be perfect weapons they were never given a chance at a proper childhood but they always had each other to rely on and they spent years plotting their escape. They've been on the run for several years now but their youngest brother, Jory, was lost in the escape attempt and they've spent all that time believing he was dead until Shane discovered extra video footage of that night and realised there is a chance he is still alive and but recaptured. Now the brothers have two main goals, one find a way to disable the chips implanted in their spine that will kill them if it doesn't receive a new code within the next six weeks and two, find out exactly what happened to Jory and if he's alive find a way to rescue him.
As the oldest brother Matt has always felt responsible for the others, he is the protector, the one who promised they'd never be alone and that he'd always have their backs. What happened to Jory broke him but it's made him more determined than ever to keep the others safe and that means finding a way to disable the explosives in their necks. He has a lead on a doctor who might have implanted the devices and he will do whatever it takes to track her down and force her to help them. With the Commander's forces drawing ever closer he needs to move fast but he's stopped in his tracks when he meets bar owner Laney. Laney takes pity on him when she realises he's been injured and she ends up offering him a job as a bartender come bouncer which is perfect cover as he tries to find the doctor he needs. The attraction he feels for Laney is a huge distraction though and when he realises she has a serial killer on her tail he knows he has to try and protect her too.
As much as I enjoyed the first book in this series I thought Matt and Laney were a much better couple. All of the Dean brothers are pretty irresistible but Josie got on my nerves a bit in the previous book and that definitely wasn't the same here. Laney is much more independent and quite fierce when she wants to be, no matter how attracted she is to Matt she won't let him walk all over her and she's willing to stand up for herself when she needs to. She has a few dark secrets that are about to catch up with her and land her in a whole new heap of trouble but she owns up to any mistakes she's made and wants to do what she can to put them right. I loved the chemistry between Laney and Matt, the attraction is instant but their relationship never felt rushed even though it all happened fairly quickly.
Sweet Revenge is full of action, there are a lot of different plot threads that all have their own dangers and problems for the couple and that really kept me on my toes while I was reading. I enjoyed the banter between Matt and his brothers and loved the way he was such a protector for everyone he cares about. This book definitely got me fired up about the series again and I can't wait to read Nate and Jory's stories.

Review: Over the Top - Rebecca Zanetti
Dawn Freeze had a huge crush on Hawk Rain for years, and the entire town knows it. It's understandable―the man is total hotness. That tall, lean body. Intense dark eyes. And always one foot out the door. Now he's on leave for exactly one week. And this time, he's made it crystal clear that he only wants one thing. Her.
Hawk's been fighting his attraction to Dawn for as long as he can remember. She's his best friend's little sister, and that means hands-off. Except now she's all grown up, and her sweet sexiness is exactly what he craves. But just as Hawk allows himself one mindblowingly intense night with Dawn, he learns that everyone he loves is in danger. Especially her.
And the only way to protect Dawn is to push her away . . .

Review:
Dawn has been in love with her brother's best friend for as long as she can remember and half the town knows how she feels even if Hawk has never done anything to encourage her. Hawk has secretly wanted Dawn for years but he's sure her brothers would never approve of them as a couple. His job is dangerous and every time he leaves town there's a risk he might never come back so the last thing he wants is to leave Dawn broken hearted. He's tired of fighting his feelings though and she's becoming harder and harder to resist. After spending one amazing night together Hawk's job unexpectedly catches up with him and now everyone he cares about is in danger, including Dawn and her family. Can he keep her safe or will he lose her forever?
I've been dying to read Dawn and Hawk's story ever since they were introduced in the first book of the series. I had a feeling Hawk was going to be my favourite and I wasn't wrong, he's definitely a brilliant hero and Dawn's a lucky lady. This story was incredibly fun to read, a few of the town's busybodies have decided it's time for Dawn to land her man and they're not above meddling to get Hawk to admit his feelings for her. I spent a lot of time laughing at their antics and they're definitely not the usual tricks you'd expect from a couple of little old ladies. I also loved catching up with Dawn's brothers and their wives, I've enjoyed spending time with this family and it's great to see how far everyone has come since the beginning of the series.
Unfortunately I don't think the romance was as well developed as it could have been, this seemed like a fairly short book and as much as I enjoyed the crazy antics as well as the suspense side to the story I think the relationship development between Dawn and Hawk suffered because it wasn't the main focus. Don't get me wrong - the sex was hot and there were a few really sweet moments between them but I had such high expectations for their book and I was slightly disappointed. This has still been a fun series though and it's one I'd recommend to people who enjoy small town romances. I love Rebecca Zanetti's writing and I'll definitely be checking out more books by her in the future.

Review: Rising Assets - Rebecca Zanetti
Friends with benefits was never the plan…
Melanie Jacobs is in trouble. With three jobs—including running her ranch—and dwindling funds, she’s exhausted. Not to mention desperately trying to hide a secret. Unfortunately, her best friend Colton Freeze knows all too well that’s something is going on, and he won’t give up until he knows exactly what he needs to fix.
Then Colton learns the truth—that Melanie’s future happiness rests in the fickle hands of fate, and her chances for having a family are shrinking with every passing day. Her only comfort is Colton, but when a heated argument between them turns into an even hotter kiss, the boundaries of their friendship are erased, leaving only a scorching-hot hunger for more.
Every kiss—every touch—is a stolen pleasure. But will their new friends-with-sexy-benefits arrangement bring them closer together, or destroy everything they once shared?

Review:
Colton, Melanie and Hawk have been best friends for years, the three of them have always been inseparable but no matter how close they all are there has always been a special bond between Colt and Melanie. Melanie has always been able to turn to Colt and Hawk with any problem in the past but for the first time ever she is facing something that they can't help her with. She is desperate for a family but health issues mean her chance of conceiving is very slim and the odds are reducing with every passing month. Realising how desperate Melanie is to be a mother makes Colton look at her in a new light, he's always admired his spunky best friend but he'd tried not to notice the beautiful woman she grew into. Now he's realised just how perfect she is the thought of her starting a life with another guy leaves him cold, but can he convince his best friend that they can be together without risking the friendship that means so much to them both?
I have been a huge fan of Rebecca Zanetti's Maverick Montana series ever since I picked up Against the Wall last year so I couldn't wait to get my hands on this latest instalment. This series is full of super hot cowboy heroes and Colton is no exception to that - the chemistry between him and Melanie was off the charts and I think he's my new favourite hottie in the series. I love the small town feel of these books, although each story works as a stand alone we have come to know the whole family throughout the series and it was great to catch up with all the other characters we've grown to love. The whole town is invested in Colt and Melanie's relationship, they all saw it coming long before our main couple did and they've been betting on the outcome for months which was highly amusing.
Colton is a really sweet guy, he is always there for anyone who needs a helping hand and he loves his family unconditionally. He's the type of man who would do anything for anyone and I really love that about him. He never really wanted to settle down before, not that he's particularly a womaniser, he just planned on getting to a point in his career where he felt more settled before finding a woman to marry. Love doesn't take that into account though and once he starts to realise his feelings for Melanie it doesn't take him too long to change his mind completely about what his goals are. Melanie and Colt have a wonderful bond between them, I love the friends to lovers trope and Rising Assets was a great example of that. These characters know each other inside out and obviously have a great bond to build the rest of their relationship on. They also have wonderful chemistry but I'm sure that won't surprise you if you've read any of the earlier books in this series - they've all been incredibly steamy!
I have loved all of the books in this series so far but I can't tell you how excited I am that the next book will finally be Hawk's story. He has fascinated me since the very first book and there were some very interesting developments with his character in this one that have just made me even more eager to get my hands on it. Dawn is one lucky, lucky lady although I have to admit that I kind of feel sorry for Hawk who will have to face off against all three of her protective older brothers! The good thing is that he's already part of the family and loved by everyone so hopefully it won't be too hard to convince them he's serious about her. This is definitely a series that I love and one that I can't wait to continue - if you haven't come across it yet then I'd recommend reading the books in order but they're all perfect for when you're looking for a sexy, small town romance with a hot cowboy hero!

Review:
Josie and Shane fell in love and married very quickly after a whirlwind romance but Josie was left broken hearted when Shane disappeared without a trace. Now two years on Josie is shocked when she is contacted by the police, Shane is in hospital with amnesia and can't remember anything about his past or even who she is. She wants to help him but Shane always held a part of himself back from her and Josie doesn't know as much about him as she should considering he was her husband. Shane may not remember the time he spent with Josie but all his instincts are screaming that she is important to him and that he needs to protect her at any cost. But why are they under attack? Who are the enemies that are chasing them and who can he trust to help him find the answers he so desperately needs.
As a fan of Rebecca Zanetti's Maverick Montana series I jumped at the chance of reading the first book in her new romantic suspense series. Forgotten Sins was just as good as I expected it to be and I can already tell I'm going to love this series. If you like alpha military men, strong bonds between brothers, lots of action and stories with a hint of the supernatural in the form of genetic engineering then you'll love this one. It reminded me of a mix up between the TV series Dark Angel and Christine Feehan's GhostWalkers books so if you're a fan of either of those then this should be right up your street.
Shane and his brothers didn't exactly have a normal upbringing, in fact they were born and raised to be the perfect soldiers so didn't have much of a childhood at all. Reading about their background was heart breaking and it was only because they had each other to rely on that they made it through. I loved the bond between Matt, Nathan and Shane, all three of them are full on alpha warriors who are incredibly protective of those they care about. They have never been able to rely on anyone but themselves and they will fight to the death to look out for each other. Their background has made them closer than normal brothers and that connection really shines through and has made me desperate to continue reading the series.
I loved Shane from the beginning, he is so determined to fight for Josie and win her back and nothing is going to stop him getting things right with her this time around. As the story continues there were times I was left questioning his motives in the past but no matter how strange things looked I never doubted that he loved her and had her best interests at heart even when it looked the complete opposite. I should have loved Josie but I'll admit there were times when I found her incredibly irritating. On the surface she is everything I should want in a heroine, she is strong and capable not the kind of woman who sits around waiting to be rescued but someone who is able to protect herself, she knows what she wants and she isn't prepared to accept less than what she needs. I loved the fact that she proves time and time again that she is stronger than Shane thinks she is, she fights against his impression that she is weak and makes him see her as his equal. In spite of that there were still times when I wanted to shake her, moments where she does incredibly stupid things and puts herself in harms way for no good reason. I understood her reluctance to trust Shane but her inner monologue got on my nerves, she goes back and forth between wanting him and not being able to trust him and I just wanted her to make up her mind one way or the other. She came close to ruining the book for me at one point but I loved Shane and his brothers enough to get past my irritation.
Forgotten Sins is the beginning of a series that looks set to be full of action, intrigue and betrayal. I'm already half in love with Matt and Nathan so can't wait to read their stories and find out more about who is searching for them all!

Review: Under the Covers - Rebecca Zanetti
Opposites don’t attract. They ignite.
The small Montana town near the Kooskia reserve seemed like the perfect place for Juliet Montgomery to hide from her not-so-law-abiding family. But when her peace is shattered by a break-in and threatening phone calls, it’s clear someone back in New York knows where she is. It’s time to plan her getaway, and fast—but first, she needs to tie up a few loose ends. Namely, finding out exactly what the town’s sexy cowboy sheriff is hiding in his holster...
Sheriff Quinn Lodge has enough demons of his own to know when someone’s hiding something. Clearly, he needs to do a thorough investigation to uncover what’s beneath Juliet’s uptight, city-girl exterior—preferably one piece of clothing at a time. But when their chemistry goes from fizzy to full-on explosive, things start getting complicated. How can Juliet stay beneath the covers with Quinn, when doing so means blowing her cover?

Review:
Juliet is keeping secrets, she is running from her past and from her family but she doesn't want anyone to know why. She has tried to make a new life for herself and fulfil her dream of opening an art gallery but her money is about to run out and she has a feeling her past is about to catch up with her so she knows that she'll have to move on soon. She's determined to make a success of her gallery first though and at the same time help her friend Sophie hold her first public showing of her work. Local sheriff Quinn has had his eye on Juliet for months, he knows she is hiding something and is determined to get to the bottom of it but most of all he is keen to act on the chemistry that has been building between them. Juliet knows she is leaving soon so spending a little time with Quinn before she goes can't be dangerous can it? Well, not unless he steals her heart anyway.
I really enjoyed the first book in this series so I couldn't wait to get my hands on Under the Covers and get to know Quinn better. I loved Jake and I wasn't sure if Rebecca Zanetti could top him but she proved me wrong and Quinn is now my favourite Lodge brother! Everything I loved about Jake was taken to the next level in Quinn, he was even more dominant and loved to take control, especially in the bedroom (or on a table, or against the car, or . . . well you get the picture!). Quinn is the kind of guy who puts everyone else before himself, he looks out for the entire town and always has time to help someone in need even if it is with something that isn't officially part of his job description. He is also a hero who is suffering with PTSD from his time in the Special Forces, something that causes him to suffer horrific nightmares and makes him worry that he could end up hurting Juliet by accident.
Juliet is a really sweet woman but she is obviously keeping a major secret. It takes some time before this secret is revealed to the reader and even longer before Quinn discovers the truth. I did want her to open up to Quinn a little earlier than she did but considering that she hadn't known him for long I could understand why she was scared to let him in. They have fantastic chemistry together, the kind that makes them want to rip each others clothes off so they can get down and dirty immediately no matter what their location is, so expect super hot sex and plenty of it. I would have liked a little more time spent developing their emotional connection and getting to know each other but they were so hot together it didn't really matter too much.
One of the things I love about this series is the side characters, along with Quinn's entire extended family (who I love and can't wait to see more of!) you have a lot of colourful side characters in the town who add an extra layer to the story. I loved the way the whole town rallied to push Quinn and Juliet together, so many people could see they were perfect for each other and wanted them to be happy. It was great to catch up with Jake and Sophie, five year old Leila remains a star of the story and we also get to spend more time with the other Lodge siblings Colton and Dawn along with family friend Hawk. I have a feeling that Colton's book will be next and while I'm definitely looking forward to his story I'm desperate to get to Hawk's book - I'm pretty sure he will end up being my favourite hero of the series. He's quite a mystery at the moment but there is definitely something appealing about him and I can see why Dawn is so obsessed. While you don't have to read this series in order because each book is about a different couple I would suggest picking up Against the Wall first because there is so much character development across the two books. Both stories are excellent, sexy romances and ones that I'm sure I'll read again at some point in the future so I can happily recommend them. Rebecca Zanetti has joined my list of must read authors and I can't wait for the rest of this series to release.

Review: Against the Wall - Rebecca Zanetti + Tour Wide Giveaway for a Kindle Fire!
Never challenge a cowboy in the courtroom…
Surveying the proposed site for a high-end golf course should have been a breeze for spunky Landscape Architect Sophie Smith. But when this born-and-bred city girl is suddenly—and quite literally—swept off her feet by a sexy cowboy on horseback, she realises that the country life has some serious (and seriously steamy!) possibilities. That is, until she finds out exactly who her smokin’-hot wrangler really is.
Cowboy and Tribal lawyer Jack Lodge is desperately trying to block the development. And if that means playing hardball—and being every inch the shark lawyer—so be it. But Sophie is a distraction he didn’t expect. A distraction that makes his blood burn.
Two different worlds. Two opposing sides. And when they finally give into the exquisite temptation, the consequences will shake the foundations of both of their lives…

Review:
City girl Sophie is a landscape architect who works for her uncle's firm designing golf courses. She has been sent to rural Montana to try to persuade the locals that the golf course that her client wants to build will be great for the community. Unfortunately the local Kooskia tribe are dead set against the golf course being built in that location and Sophie finds herself going head to head with the tribe's lawyer Jake. Jake is an incredibly sexy cowboy who knows exactly what he wants and is prepared to do anything to make it happen. He is determined to stop the golf course but he is equally determined to make Sophie his, both in and out of the bedroom. These two opposites are definitely attracted but when they are both from such different worlds can they find a middle ground where they will both be happy?
Although I've heard great things about Rebecca Zanetti's Dark Protector's series Against the Wall is actually the first book of hers that I've read. It definitely won't be the last though and if she writes her paranormal heroes as well as she writes her sexy cowboys I need to start working through her back list ASAP! If you like your men to be sexy, domineering alphas you are going to fall hard for Jake. He is the kind of guy who sets his sights on something and then doesn't take no for an answer, from the moment he rides into Sophie's life you know he is going to take over and there is just no way any girl could resist him. Jake would do anything for his family and for his tribe, he loves the area he lives in and is proud of his heritage. He wants his daughter to grow up surrounded by family and people who care about her and he wants Sophie to see how good it could be if she stayed with them.
Sophie has never really had anyone who put her first, her mother was only interested in money and status and drilled it into Sophie that those were the important things. She has never had a close family so seeing Jake with his parents and siblings just shows her what she has missed out on all these years. As much as she wants what he has she is scared to let people close in case they end up hurting her down the line. Luckily Jake isn't the only one who is determined to win Sophie around and he has help from the whole tribe who have really taken to her and want her to see that she has a place with them. Apart from the fantastic chemistry between Sophie and Jake (which was definitely scorching hot!), what I liked most was the way they both learn so much about themselves by seeing things through the other's eyes.
I loved the small town feel to the story and enjoyed the range of side characters we met, there are a definitely a few crazy and fun members of the town who helped add colour to the story. Jake's family were all fantastic and I really hope each of his siblings (Quinn, Colton and Dawn) all get their own stories. I'm also already slightly obsessed with family friend Hawk who I just know is going to make a wonderful hero! I'm really pleased that this is the start of a series and I'll definitely be first in the queue to buy Under the Covers as soon as it's available.
