I've seen several great reviews for Hearts at Stake
by Alyxandra Harvey & have been keeping an eye out for it when I've been book shopping but haven't been able to find it. It turns out that in the UK the book has been released with the title My Love Lies Bleeding
which explains why I've been having problems!
I find it really irritating when books have different titles on either side of the Atlantic! Personally I much prefer the US title & cover. What do you think?
This one is really good!ReplyDelete
Prefer the UK cover and title...but that's only because its the first one I saw/read ;) I can see how it could be problematic with two different titles.ReplyDelete
@Cindy I'm glad you enjoyed the book, I've seen quite a few good reviews of it now :o)ReplyDelete
@Yunaleska I still haven't got a copy of the book yet but it is on my list. I wonder if I'd like the UK cover best if I'd seen it first? Interesting question LOL. It does make things confusing having different titles, especially when I read a lot of US reviewers blogs (& have had a lot of international visitors here).
I know what you mean, i am now reading Audrey, Wait by Robin Benway and the title here is called Bonustrack! :)ReplyDelete
I love the cover of the US! Thank you for telling me this, otherwise I would have bought both of the books in the future. :)
I like them both but I don't think either is actually quite right for the book, (cover or title on either side of the pond).ReplyDelete
@Nina I could have easily ended up buying both books myself! Especially when I have such a large to-read pile it can take some time after I buy a book before I read it LOLReplyDelete
@Hagelrat I've not read the book yet so I don't know how well the title / artwork suits it. What title would you have given it? I always find it interesting to hear peoples choices :o)
