Review:
I have to admit I've never made anything like this before but I love trying out different crafty projects so as soon as I saw these Game of Thrones masks I wanted to try them. This book includes all the pieces you'll need to make a Lannister Lion Mask as well as a wall mount that the mask will sit on when not in use (so it'll look like you have a lion's head hanging on your wall!). The only things you'll need to make the mask is glue (I used a pritt-stick) or double sided celotape and for the wall mount you'll also need a pair of scissors. The book comes with very clear instructions that you should read carefully before getting started.
It recommends starting by making the mast and the first thing you'll need to do is carefully pop out the 26 pieces needed to make it. The pieces are marked A to Z and you use them in alphabetical order (be careful because the lettering is the same for the pieces to make the wall mount but they have different symbols on them so you need to make sure you have the right pieces!). Start with piece A and make all of the required folds (there are instructions in the book to help you know what types of folds are needed - valley or mountain). Then you'll see lots of small numbers on the inside of the piece and you basically need to join the matching numbers together using the tabs on one side. The best thing to do is to hold the piece in shape until you know exactly how it's supposed to fit together, this can be a little fiddly but once you have it figured out gluing it in place is very straightforward.
Once you've connected all the parts from piece A you can fold part B and glue them together, gradually add each letter until the mask is complete. It takes time to complete the project, especially if you've not done anything like this before, but I managed it easily on my own so as long as you're careful you shouldn't have any problems. The important thing is to make sure all the tabs are fully glued in place before you move on to adding the next piece or you'll end up finding it starts to fall apart later (I'm talking from experience there!).
The completed mask looks absolutely incredible and I'm thrilled with it. There is a strap that has to be adjusted to your personal requirement so the mask will only fit one person but once you have it lined up it's really comfortable to wear and would look great for Halloween or a fancy dress party.
The second part of the project is making the wall mount for the mask to stand on and I have to admit I found that part more fiddly than making the actual mask! It has slightly less pieces (I think it was 18 rather than 26) but they fit together to form a ring and I found it awkward trying to attach both sides together at the end but again with a bit of patience I was able to do it without any help. Once you've connected the pieces you have to attach them to the baseboard (included at the back of the book) and again I found it hard to get the ring into the exact shape I wanted. In the end I found the easiest option was to hold the mount in place using bulldog clips and then once I had the whole thing where it needed to be I was able to tape it in place.
The wall mount on its own doesn't look particularly impressive but by the time you add on the mask it makes a brilliant piece of wall art! I had so much fun making this and I love the results so I definitely think I need to collect the rest of the set.
The Game of Thrones official 3D mask and wall mount books, published by Carlton Books, will be available at all leading book retailers and www.carltonbooks.co.uk at a price of £14.99. The Stark Direwolf and Lannister Lion books will be available from 10th August, with the Targaryen Dragon and White Walker books will be available from 7th September.

Review: Origin - Ana Jolene
One drunken kiss ignites an inferno of burning desire. Sworn enemies, Lucky Winters and Seven Douglass struggle to forget the kiss that shouldn't have happened. Then Lucky’s past comes back to bite him and he suddenly disappears for months, leaving Seven wondering where they both stand.
When Lucky returns, he is a changed man and his prolonged absence means he must once again prove himself to the club he's sworn his life to. Except Lucky can’t seem to shake off the recent events as much as he wants to.
Seven is no stranger to this feeling. Her own mysterious past threatens to disrupt her future and when neither of them are able to stop the ghosts of their pasts from resurfacing, the only person they can turn to is each other. Suddenly, hatred morphs into love. And where there is fire and ice, there’s bound to be some steam . . .

Review:
Seven and Lucky were thrown together when their best friends started dating but their relationship has been anything but love at first sight, it started out antagonistic and then they started to enjoy winding each other up as much as possible. Until one drunken night all that had ever been between them was constant verbal sparring and banter but then a scorching hot kiss changed everything. They're suddenly both looking at each other in a new light but before they can explore that any further Lucky is called away on a family emergency and disappears without a word. When he returns weeks later Lucky is eager to jump back in where they left off but Seven has already been hurt once and she's not so willing to give him a second chance.
These two have one of my favourite kind of relationships, one where the sparks are obviously flying but they're both to stubborn to admit it and rather than act on their attraction they verbally spar to keep each other at a distance. I could see the potential between them in the first book so I was thrilled when I found out they'd be the second couple featured in this series and I have to admit I found Seven much easier to get to know and care about than Indie was. Seven has been through her own tough times but she's a strong character who is determined to stand on her own two feet and who has never let herself rely on anyone else. She's independent and knows what she wants so suddenly realising her feelings for Lucky have changed throws her for a loop.
Lucky walked away from his brothers at Glory MC because his sister needed him and although he hated to be gone so long he did what he had to at the time. I have to admit I thought Glory MC forgave him a little too quickly when he came back, I'd have expected the gang to be more put out that he hadn't kept in contact, especially considering everything else that was going on at the time, but I was glad that Seven didn't hold back on chewing him out for what happened. I enjoyed getting to know Lucky's sister (although I'm a bit creeped out by the age gap between her and her MUCH older boyfriend who had previously been like a father to her!) but I had trouble figuring out the exact age difference between her and Lucky which meant I struggled to understand how Lucky had been able to walk away and leave a vulnerable child with their drug addict mother years ago to join Glory MC in the first place. It just didn't seem to fit that he cared about her so much but pretty much abandoned her before so I'd have liked that side of things explained a little better.
We got a bit more information about the futuristic world that this series is set in which was definitely needed and I'm curious to see where the Glory MC alliance with another group is going to go in the future, especially now they seem to have mutual and very dangerous enemies. I'm enjoying this series and looking forward to the next book, Nirvana, but I think I need to feel a little more like this is a gang of scary, badass bikers. At times the members of Glory seem to be a little too soft and the President made a few decisions that just didn't quite mesh up with what I'd expect from this kind of MC gang.

I'm thrilled to be taking part in the blog tour today to celebrate the release of Nirvana by Ana Jolene.
About NIRVANA:
Tansy Bonheur survived the worst treatment a human being could be subjected to. After being rescued from the decaying, rat-infested cell she was caged in, Tansy hopes that this will be the end of her suffering. But a quick turn of events makes her realize that her reoccurring nightmares are the least of her problems.
Kittredge Calliope fell in love with Tansy the first moment he set his eyes on her. Unfortunately for him, Tansy recoils every time he tries to speak to her. When an attack on one of Glory MC’s members forces the club to evacuate the clubhouse, Kitt must get Tansy to safety. But not even being in the embrace of Glory MC’s sergeant at arms can protect Tansy from the people out to get her.
In this dangerous, ruthless world, will their newfound love be enough to bring a hardened warrior to his knees and turn a timid beauty into the fighter she needs to be?
Excerpt:
Kitt
Black smoke billowed into the red sky. It was hard to believe that not more than an hour ago, the entire club had been here partying it up until the first ray of morning light. I had gained only a half an hour’s worth of sleep before the call came in. Had made Lucky say it twice because I couldn’t believe it the first time.
Someone had tried to kill our prez, Knuckle.
The secretary and treasurer of Glory MC was known for his cool composure but that was nowhere to be seen now. “Shit, Kitt. I need you to get down here right now! It’s bad.” Panic laced every one of Lucky’s words. I could hear sounds in the background, of something crackling and a woman sobbing. What the hell had happened? “And bring the fucking truck!” he shouted. I couldn’t even get a word in before the line went dead.
The sweet butt in my bed groaned as she turned to take me in. I was standing naked in the middle of my bedroom and she called me back to bed but I was already too busy sending out a mass text to the group to enjoy her company now. “You need to leave,” I told her urgently as I hit send on the text. Within seconds, the club would be on their way to the site of the attack. “Fucking shit.” I still couldn’t believe it! How the hell did this happen?
Tossing on my clothes didn’t take more than a minute, but tossing the woman out of bed? That took more patience than I had right now. “What’s going on?” she asked.
“No time to explain. Get up.” I tossed my cut over my shoulders, feeling the weight of my fear starting to creep into me. Lucky had said to bring the truck. The last time it had been used, Newt, our previous vice-prez, had been injured in a similar bombing. Would tonight end in a similar fashion? With another dead brother to bury?
“But I can’t find my pants,” the woman whined.
Fuck, I didn’t have time for this shit. Knuckle was dying. Or maybe he was dead already. I wouldn’t know until I got there. Without another word, I left, ignoring the sweet butt’s calls after me. I also had to make sure Angel was on his way with the truck.
The throaty purr of the engine was all I could hear now as I increased speed, desperate to get towards the dark clouds that were a depiction of the Phantoms’ betrayal.
There was no one else who would have done this. No one else who had the means and the motive.
I cut the engine as soon as I saw them, knowing by their expressions that it was bad. Whatever explosive device the Phantoms had used, it had completely disintegrated Knuckle’s bike. It wouldn’t surprise me if our prez was in the bits and pieces of the air we were breathing in right now.
“Angel’s on his way,” I told their fear-glazed faces as I approached. “How is he?” I could see for myself that Knuckle’s legs were a mess of blood, flesh and dirt but at least they were still attached to the rest of him, not blown off like I’d expected. The front half of his body was covered in blood, but that didn’t seem to deter Hanna who was practically lying on top of him, tears spilling from her eyes.
“He’s breathing but Hanna says he’s unstable,” Seven answered. Hanna was doing something to him that my uneducated mind couldn’t understand. Whatever it was, I hoped it would work until Angel arrived with the emergency vehicle.
Just then, a text from Angel came in: ETA 1 min.
As I relayed the message, I hoped to hell Knuckle could last that long. “Hold on, baby,” Hanna was saying to her man, choking back tears. “Just hold on.”
As selfishly as Knuckle had made the rash decision to give up Vincent Cavezza to the Phantoms without the consent of the club, he didn’t deserve this. Hell, no one ever deserved to be blown up without a fighting chance.
Headlights from the emergency vehicle blinded us before Angel, Hastie, and Beck hopped out.
Hastie immediately rushed to us and dropped to his knees, giving his father a quick once-over. Despite the fact that he hadn’t said anything, I could tell that a million things were running through his mind. Did he too believe that this could have been avoided if Knuckle hadn’t made a trade with the Phantoms?
Losing Bronson would have been tough, but if we had known that handing over Vincent to them would result in this attack against us, we wouldn’t have agreed to the trade. There was nothing to be done about that now though. The deal had been made. The results were spectacularly shit though.
“Make room,” Beck called out as he and Angel brought over a gurney.
Hanna jolted into action, her nursing skills coming to her easily as the shock wore off. As the three of them made quick work of transporting Knuckle gently into the van, Hanna turned to me. “This is more than I can handle,” she said in a panicked voice. “I need a doctor.”
Yes. This was more than just a bullet wound or a severe case of road rash. As a nurse, Hanna wouldn’t have the right training.
Flipping my phone out, I dialed the number I knew by memory. I wanted Knuckle in capable hands especially if his case was as severe as it looked.
When I snapped my phone shut, my eyes scanned the surroundings for the club’s sec and trez. I had yet to see Lucky and second to Knuckle, he was the other person I wanted to make sure was all right. “Where’s Lucky?”
“He’s fighting the fire,” Seven said, fear a noticeable nuance in her voice. Scanning the destruction the explosion had made, I saw a figure working double time to tame the flames.
“Get him to Neptune’s as quickly as you can. Doctor Reyes will be there to meet you,” I said before jumping to help Lucky corral the fire not more than a few feet away.
When the blond saw me approach, his cornflower blue eyes met mine, but no words were spoken as we joined our efforts together to put out the fire. By the time we had it cleared, the rest of the club had arrived.
In the eyes of everyone, there was a mixture of fear and worry as Knuckle was rushed away to the clubhouse. Others moved to follow, but Seven approached me, looking confused and worried. “Hey. Have you seen Lucky?”
I turned to where I thought the sec and trez was but he was no longer by the truck. “He was right there a second ago.”
“We’re about to leave,” Seven explained.
Searching, we turned together, finding him standing right where Knuckle’s bike had been. “Lucky!” I called out. What the hell was he doing? Together, Seven and I ran over to him, slowing as we took in his tight-lipped expression. “Hey, man. Knuckle has already been taken to Neptune’s. Come on. We gotta go.”
Lucky’s eyes hinted at the internal pain he was experiencing so it was no surprise when his voice came out shaky. “I saw someone by his bike earlier, but didn’t think much of it at the time. I should’ve realized that someone was tampering with it.” His boot kicked at the sand beneath us, causing it to plume up like a little cloud.
Aw, hell. The guy believed that this was his fault. Seven recognized the guilt in his words, too. “There’s nothing you could have done to prevent this,” she said.
“She’s right,” I agreed. “We couldn’t have predicted that the fuckers would turn on us so quickly.” The trade hadn’t lasted very long before they’d gone and shit on us. “Come on, we need to be there in case Knuckle needs us.”
It was clear that Lucky felt torn between wanting to be there for Knuckle and going after the Phantoms himself. I met his pained expression. “I know what you’re thinking . . . ”
“That I fucked up.”
“Shut it. Get those thoughts out of your head.” It hadn’t been his fault and I wasn’t going to allow him to believe that he could have prevented this from happening. “You did nothing wrong, you follow?” Guilt was a nasty thing to deal with and Lucky had been burdened with too many responsibilities already to be held accountable for things out of his control. When I didn’t get an immediate answer, I repeated myself. “I said, do you follow?”
Lucky nodded reluctantly.
“Good. We’re going to find these bastards,” I promised as I patted his cheek. If Knuckle died, the Phantoms would pay for every drop of his blood that was spilt.

Review: Protecting Their Mate Part Three - Moira Rogers
Part Three (of Three)
As the full moon raises tensions--and appetites--Ashley indulges her wildest fantasies...and discovers what it truly means to belong to the pack. But Blake's control is tested as outsiders descend on the pack's territory, and Ashley discovers that following her heart may be the only way to find her mate.
Ashley's heart longs for one man, but her wolf demands that she test herself against the alpha. Can she settle for a life of never knowing, or will she risk everything for Blake?
Protecting Their Mate was originally published as an eight part serial under the penname Mia Thorne. It has been repackaged, but the story remains the same.
The Last Pack Series:
Protecting Their Mate Part One
Protecting Their Mate Part Two
Protecting Their Mate Part Three
Defending Their Mate Part One

Review:
This is part three of a serialised novel so I really wouldn't recommend reading it if you haven't read the first two parts, it's also worth noting that this serial was previously published under the pen name Mia Thorne and although it has a nice new cover the content hasn't changed so there's no need to buy it again if you've read the previous incarnation. Now we've got that out of the way I'm going to say if you like your paranormal romance hot and steamy then this is definitely the series for you, you may actually be familiar with these authors under their other pen name Kit Rocha and if you are a fan of the Beyond books then you're going to love this one too!
Since her rescue Ashley has really started to embrace her werewolf side thanks to Blake and the rest of his pack. They've taught her that her desires are natural and nothing to be ashamed of and now she's started to realise how wonderful life can be surrounded by other shifters. Her wolf still hasn't decided on a mate though and as much as her heart now belongs to Blake they're both worried her wolf will choose another. To add to an already stressful situation they also have to deal with the arrival of a rival pack in their territory, a pack who seem very eager to claim Ashley for themselves.
I really enjoyed the final instalment of this serial, its been great to see how much Ashley has grown in confidence since the beginning and I've really enjoyed meeting all five of the men in her new pack. While I think Blake and Ashley are perfect for each other I've also enjoyed her experiences with the rest of the pack and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing them all find mates of their own. It's actually hard to decide which of the wolves I like the most, they all have unique qualities that draw me to them but I have a feeling that I'm probably going to love Mac and Connor's story the most. What can I say, I just love the way these authors write a triad relationship (Ace, Cruz and Rachel from the Beyond series are still my all time favourites!) so I have great expectations for these two when they find a woman who is willing to take them both on!
This is definitely one of the hottest series that these authors write as Moira Rogers but there is also a nice amount of romance between the main couple and some fun world building as we learn more about the werewolves and how they live. If you're not a fan of multiple partners then this series isn't for you but if you're open to a world where that isn't just accepted but also encouraged (all completely consensual, don't worry there's no dubious content) then you should give this serial a try.

Review: For 100 Reasons - Lara Adrian
Love takes no prisoners…
Billionaire Dominic Baine stepped into Avery Ross’s life when it was at its lowest. Obsessed with the beautiful, struggling artist, Nick was determined to have her. What began as a scorching seduction soon burned out of control, exploding into a white-hot passion neither of them could deny.
Yet Nick and Avery are two damaged people, both haunted by dark secrets with the power to destroy them. And for Nick, the ugly past that shaped him cannot compare to the unforgivable deception that drives Avery from his arms, from his life. Now the man accustomed to having everything he desires must find a way to redeem himself to the only woman he has ever loved.
Avery Ross has known heartbreak. She has known betrayal and loss, but nothing like the pain that loving Dominic Baine has brought into her life. Reeling from the aftermath of his devastating revelation, instead of allowing despair to break her, she builds herself into something stronger—the fearless woman and artist Nick’s passion has taught her to be. Yet her heart is in pieces, and despite everything she has, the one thing she needs is the man whose possessive desires and consuming love holds the power to either save them both or shatter her forever…

Review:
For 100 Reasons is the third book in Lara Adrian's erotic romance series and I'd definitely recommend reading these books in order! The story picks up about a year on from where things ended in For 100 Nights when Avery walked away from Nick in Paris after the revelations about the way he had manipulated her life. She's spent the last year focusing on her art and becoming a successful artist in her own right but she's never gotten over the way things ended with Nick, she hates what he did to her but there is a big part of her that misses him too. When they run into each other at a gallery event it's clear that the attraction between them still burns hot but can Avery learn to trust Nick again after everything he did to her?
I've really enjoyed this whole series so I'm kind of sad to say goodbye to Avery and Nick but I'm also very glad to see them finally figure things out and get their happily ever after. They've both made a lot of mistakes along the way and I appreciated the way they learned to forgive each other and both strove to be better in the future. They were willing to talk through their issues, although Nick still had a few things about his past that he wasn't quite ready to bring out into the open, and I loved that Avery stood up to Nick when he was too overbearing. She won't let any man walk all over her no matter how much she loves him and you have to respect her for that and the way she set ground rules before she considered giving Nick another chance. Nick realised the way he'd treated Avery was wrong and I think the fact that he'd stayed away because she asked him to showed a lot of growth of his character, the man she first met would have pursued her to the ends of the earth whether she wanted it or not but he's grown enough to realise that you can't treat people like a business deal and he learned to put Avery's happiness above his own.
Although this book wraps up Avery and Nick's story nicely I am wondering if we might get a story about Avery's friend Lita at some point, there were certainly hints at some interesting things going on between her and a certain rockstar turned CEO so I hope we get to see more of them. I'd quite like to find out more about artist Jared too! To be honest it doesn't matter what Lara Adrian writes next, she's a favourite author of mine and will always be on my auto-buy list.
