I've been browsing YouTube book trailers recently & I thought it would be fun to start highlighting some of the books that I really want to read but haven't quite got around to yet. Some of these have been on my to read pile for months (or even years!) but these trailers make me want to read them ASAP.
I absolutely loved Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys (read my review here) so of course I immediately wanted to read Salt to the Sea and I have absolutely no excuse for not getting to it sooner! If anyone has read it I'd love to hear your thoughts so hit me up with a link to your review in the comments.
This inspirational novel is based on a true story from the Second World War. When the German ship the Wilhelm Gustloff was sunk in port in early 1945 it had over 9000 civilian refugees, including children, on board. Nearly all were drowned. Ruta Sepetys, acclaimed author of Between Shades of Grey, brilliantly imagines their story.
