Review:
This isn't going to be much of a review - it's actually more of an excuse for me to post kitten pictures! - but I thought I should at least briefly mention the book LOL.

As someone who has been a cat owner for years but always taken in older rescue cats this is the first time I've ever had a kitten so I thought it would be worth doing a little bit of research, particularly on introducing a kitten into a household with an older cat already in residence. I think this book is probably a good place to start if you've never had a cat before, it covers a whole range of topics from selecting the right cat for your family and making sure your home is prepared, to understanding your kittens needs, training them and monitoring their health. The trouble is that because it covers such a broad range of topics it doesn't go into a great deal of depth about any of them. That isn't necessarily a major issue but it does mean you might be left with questions and have to look for further reading material.

If you're looking for something quick to read that will give you the basics or something that is suitable for children then this isn't a bad option but if I'd been a first time cat owner I would probably want something with a bit more detail.

Anyway, let's get to the fun bit and have a look at some kitten pictures. Meet Sparrow (named after Captain Jack since she's got a ginger eye patch), she was born on the 31st of July and has been living with me for just over 3 weeks now. She's absolutely adorable but a real handful and my older cat is not at all impressed to have a small fluffball intruder in her house! I'm sure she'll come around eventually but the introductions are going very slowly, at least we've not had any fights though!

Sparrow
(doesn't she have the cutest face!)
Meeting her namesake
Peekaboo!
Kitten toes
Kitten Cuddles
(This is her favourite place to sleep!)
A few more of my favourite pics

Isn't she the cutest little monster? She's completely crazy and is definitely keeping me on my toes but those cuddles definitely make it worthwhile :o)
